I could trash tim davis about his vague test questions, or I could say he is extremely unorganized and takes months to grade tests, or talk about how he gives seemingly arbitrary grades for assignments. But since I only have 350 characters I would barely scratch the surface of that. Instead I will say this: avoid him and his classes at all costs.

Comment:

I love Davis as a person, but he is not a good professor and taking this course with him was extremely stressful as I did not have any clue as to my grade, until it came out. He doesn't give back tests or grades and often doesn't explain exactly how to complete assignments leading to much confusion. Somehow, he is the best prof for MD at Cortland.

Comment:

Great teacher, great person. I gave his "easy" rating a 5 because he is fair. If you work hard you will get an "A". Cares about students, cares about children with disabilities, excellent role model. Effective teacher and hard worker, great attitude. Students and faculty are lucky to have him as part of the community.

Davis is a real nice man, but not the best professor. He isn't clear with anything. The whole class usually has no idea what's going on and no one has ANY IDEA what their grades are. He could pull the grades out of the trash for all we know. Haven't got any tests or assignments back either. Again, a great, nice man, but very unorganized.

Easy class, but overall just puts a grade on you based on who you are. If you deserved an A+ he will just look at you and give you a B. Provides no rubric,u have no idea how much each assign. counts for or how you are doing throughout semester. No matter how much time you put into work it doesn't matter. Doesn't keep promises with extra credit

Take for PED499 Project LEAPE. He is very passionate about Adapted PE, and a very good guy to get to know. He taught me a great deal, and I recieved a 3 credit A+. Prepare to do work, and show up on time! Awesome teacher, real nice guy.

He means well, and is very passionate.however i say avoid the class with him. You learn nothing in class except about the kids in the lab.He never collects assignments and is super unorganized except when it comes to the IEP. Tests are hard.

Great guy!Very personable and passionate about the PE profession especially adapted. Has a real interest in students and will bend over backwards to help out.Class material was was kind of dry but parallels the course title.Put in your best work and show you are doing your best and you will be fine!
