Hes honestly a great guy. I have had zero problems with this prof. Not only does he give you ample time to write the copious amount of papers assigned, but hes readily available to help you if youre stuck with something. If you email Dr. Preston youre likely to get a response back the same-day, even on weekends.

Of course you have to write one paper after another in a composition class, but he does his best to make the process as painless as possible. He allows you to write about things you are genuinely interested in and is always willing to help and will absolutely walk you through your paper if you just ask for advice.

Comment:

One of the worst professors I've ever had. He's clear in his expectations, his feedback is okay, but when you apply what he said, he always finds something else wrong even if you've done what he asks and gone above and beyond. Almost impossible to get a grade above an 85. Also a ridiculous amount of papers. I will never take his classes again.

I've taken multiple Preston classes and he's my advisor. He's hysterical, nerdy, kinda hyper and can come across as an airhead, but he's knows his stuff REALLY well. He's incredibly helpful and kind and as long as you put in some effort, his classes won't be tough. He can grade a little hard, but it helps to give him drafts. I love him though.

Professor Preston is the best professor that you can get for freshman easy. He's approachable, he's kind, and he's willing to work with you if you give him a chance. His assignments can be long, but he gives you more than enough time to do them, and will let you turn them in late if possible.
