Professor Diana is my favorite Prof so far. She is intelligent, caring and has great discussions with us. I took Native Amer. Lit and loved it. She chose nice books too, and you do have to read them. Otherwise, it's an easy and enjoyable class. You can tell she really loves teaching English. Also, she's very pretty.

Comment:

A super chill yet engaging professor, she covers all the bases without being too lecture heavy. Classes go by quickly and she's very forgiving for a missing assignment or issues outside of class. Her reading is a little heavy , but otherwise super caring and is 100% willing to help you. I would take again if I could!

Prof. Diana is one of the best, if not the best, English professors you'll ever meet. She's dedicated and always motivates students to engage on campus and the city of Westfield. Take Discover Westfield with her, if you get the chance, you won't regret it!

Professor Diana is an amazing teacher that really works with the students. She is flexible and gives out positive grades based on effort. She is a large advocate for place based "using the city of Westfield as text" teaching approach. She usually has weekly blog posts due, an easy way to get solid grades in the grade book.

Professor Diana is an incredible professor. She is passionate about what she teaches, so the classes are always interesting. In my class we went downtown to learn about Westfield which was really fun. For writing there was always multiple drafts and peer review, along with her comments which are really helpful. Just do the work and you'll be fine.

For Native American Lit, we breezed through 5 novels. She was really open to know what books we disliked. Our assignments were reading questions throughout the books and 5 longer forum posts on what we learned from each book. In class discussions centered on what everyone noticed or researched. She was really sweet and excited about the subject.

Very good professor, cares about her student success. At first, I was skeptical of taking the Native American Lit course, but it's very interesting! Pop-quizzes once a week, on the reading, but as long as you read, should be easy 100. Totally worth the 8:15!

Shes a good person but she requires WAY too much. I am in a freshman level literature class (though i am a junior- needed a core), and this workload is extremely heavy and she really needs to understand that we have other classes besides just hers.

American Lit with Professor Diana was amazing. As long as you show up to class, do the readings and occasional homework, you are all set for an A. She is one of my favorite professors here. Highly recommend this class to anyone who needs to fulfill a Literature requirement!!

I learned so much from American Literature with Vanessa Diana. She cares so much about her students and she is so passionate about each student success! She offers extra help and her optional extra credit is very beneficial. As a student I can honestly say I learned so much!

Many assignments, but she really guides you through them and helps you out when it gets tough. I wanted to be an english major and shes the one who motivated me and marched me right down to the office to do so, a great person and professor, shes lovely.

I hated writing before I took english 101 with Diana. She is the best professor and she helped me actually like composition. She was super nice and an angel about all assignments. She was very clear with what she expected in her papers, which was very helpful. Take a class with her, especially if you struggle with writing.

Had her for Comp 1. She is an absolute angel. Her class really helps you develop as a writer. A lot of group work as it is a workshop class. She's very engaging and really helps you focus on exactly how to improve YOUR writing. Amazing professor, I adore her.
