Instructor Houser was great. She is a very fair grader. In my class she only allowed 6 absences, if you exceed 6 you fail automatically. I thought was fair but difficult for some people. We wrote a lot, but I've improved tremendously. Would take again and recommend to all my friends. Great gal

Awesome Teacher and will make you laugh with some of her crazy stories. She does grade tuff but will backup all her grading with proof marks as a reference. Do what she ask and you should be fine....she is a easy professor to get along with.

I have had several English classes, which I had some very hard professors, and never made one single grade below and A;until now. If you want a laid back class with a very small amount of work to do, this is the class for you. You must back up every statement with evidence for a good grade, I would suggest hiring an a good lawyer to support you!

The easiest lit class i have ever taken, my high school advanced english class was harder. All her tests were take home and never had to answer more than like 2. Make sure to be very analytical. If you say something you had better back it up with some kind of quote from the story or poem. Very fair grader.

Great teacher. Loved her class. She's witty, she summerizes everything you read and thoroughly goes over the text making sure everyone knows whats going on. I would highly recommend this teacher!!!!

Mrs. Houser is my favorite teacher of all time. She grades very fairly, just remember to critique and not summarize! If you provide good critiques, back them up with quotes, and have good sentence structure, you'll be graded fairly. I got A's in both ENGL 1 & 2 from her...and I'm a CompSci major! (Not known for literary skills.)
