Will likely be his last review as this was his last semester. He's a really nice professor that is extremely knowledgeable about accounting. Passionate about teaching, and has lots of experience doing so (50+ years). Great professor.

Comment:

Dafashy is great. Accounting isn't fascinating, but he definitely makes it better than it could be. Helpful and extremely understanding, and knows the material backwards and forwards. Reading/taking notes on the textbook is a great way to nail down the concepts.

Comment:

Dafashy may be the best professor I have ever had. He cares so much for his students and whole heartedly wants everyone to understand accounting and get an A in his class. You will not be able to grasp the material without going to class, however attendance is not mandatory.

Dafashy once said that accounting is like a pool. If you're learning to swim, and you jump into the deep end of a pool, you will struggle and work hard, but you'll still drown. Luckily, Dafashy's class is the buoyant pair of water wings in the deep end of the pool that is accounting. Go to class. Don't drown in the deep end.

Dafashy is good and experienced at teaching accounting. Go to class and follow along with his lectures and you should be okay. He says all the time that it just take practice and he's right. He explains everything clearly. Use the online homework and textbook as tools.

Dafashy is so cute and old. He's been teaching accounting for around 40-50 years, so he knows how to teach accounting. His lectures are mostly just practice problems which, if you go to class, are very similar to the questions he puts on the exams.

I thought Dafashy was a great teacher. If you are okay with learning through example problems then Dafashy would be a great fit for you. Everything on tests are things that he has done in class so it is imperative that you go to class.

I walked into another prof's class Day 1, and after 30 seconds I knew I did not want him to teach me accounting. So I switched to Dafashy. Best decision I made this semester. Everything you want in an acct prof: clear, methodical, able to break the material down so everyone can understand it. Never skip a class or you will lose track.

Dafashy is an amazing professor. He has great lectures and explains the material very well. Only homework was one online assignment per week (due Sunday night). Not easy to skip class as it is very easy to fall behind in this class. Nonetheless Dafashy is there for you and will help you understand the material.

Dafashy is great for Accounting. He is very clear and helpful, plus he's super adorbs because he sounds like Gru from Despicable Me! Workload is manageable. The homework is due weekly online but try not to wait until the last minute and actually do them because they really help.

I think my experience with this professor was unique because I had to work really hard for a C+! Go to class, I did way better once I started going to every one. He explains everything well, and only tests on what he teaches in person. I do think the tests can be tricky, but but homework is easy. He wants people to do well and it shows.

Dafashy is one of the best professors I have had at the College. Accounting has the reputation of being a very hard class, but he simplifies everything and makes it easy. Very very good teacher. If you put in the work and study for the tests, this class is an easy A or B.

Dafashy is the man! definitely the guy to take for BUAD 203, clear lectures and expectations for the course. lot of material covered, weekly online problem sets, but if you go to lecture and do the book practice problems it's very manageable. he provides a ton of material to help review for tests, and is always available for help.

one of the best professors i have had at w&m! super helpful and explains things very well. just wish the class wasn't at 8 am! definitely take accounting with him and be prepared to do problems on your own, they definitely help a lot! he wants you to succeed so don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for help!

Dafashy is decent. He is great one-on-one in office hours but lacks the communications skills to be a good lecturer. He is too quiet and you can't read his handwriting. Be warned, he will say the final is cumulative but in reality it is 95% the last couple of chapters you've just covered.

My dad took accounting with Dafashy when he went here, now I have him (lolwut). He is seriously just a really cool dude. He knows his stuff, doesn't give you fluff, is extremely clear, and knows how to explain something in a different way if you don't understand. Accounting is obviously dry, but he is a great lecturer and I love his class.

His class is pretty boring. The material is pretty easy though. Second exam is noticeably harder than the first or the final. And the final only covers bonds and managerial accounting. Good class if you are curious about what business school is like.

A great man and a great professor.....took two MBA accounting courses from him 89-90 while in W & M F/T MBA program. A favorite among his students, and for good reason!
