Comment:

Prof Wallace is so nice and funny. He is available through office hours or email for questions. Super easy class as long as you go to class, take notes, and pay attention. I didn't use the textbook at all, even though it was encouraged. Three exams, one paper, and weekly questions and answers. Overall pretty easy class, and Prof Wallace is the best

Comment:

Professor Wallace is one of the best professors I have had at GV. He is passionate about this topic, he comes to class with great energy everyday, and he has a cute service dog! He makes sure students understand the content, and grades easy. He is an inspiration, and really gets you ready for the future.

For a 100 level class this class was way harder than I was expecting. If you are taking this as a free elective I wouldn't recommend. Most of our classes were spent from Professor Wallace reading off the slide. Classes were boring and long because he never shared many personal stories being a police officer. 3 exams, interview assignment, and q's.

This guy has done it all, if you're interested in working in the CJ field he's a great person to get to know, he's been a police officer, served in the military, done work in the federal field (I think homeland security), got a CJ degree, went to law school, works in police academy, he's amazing. Class was easy, and he's a funny guy.

Wallace is a great professor! His extensive history working in CJ makes him knowledgeable & he also has great stories! He's super funny & sarcastic & has a cute service dog. He doesn't put the powerpoint lectures on blackboard though so if you aren't there then you miss a lot. Make a friend in class so they can send you notes if you're gone!

He is so nice and funny! I thought the class was super easy and straight forward. I would take his class again! I usually struggle with grades and I got a A in the class. Plus ziggy is cool.

One of my favorite professors of all time!!! He is so funny and knows how to keep everybody engaged. He is one of the few professors who knows how to make effective powerpoint slides and he always clarifies what is important to know for tests. He has so much real-world experience which is super interesting to hear about. Also, he has the CUTEST dog

There are three tests based specifically off lectures (with a noncumulative exam), and he gives an easy 100 paper. He's extremely caring and has a service dog who makes everything better. Wallace cares about his students success and is a great human overall.

Wallace is an amazing prof! His lectures are entertaining and he uses real world examples to help get his point across. There are about 2 "big" assignments but they are really easy and give you easy points. Tests weren't that bad either, just go to class. You don't need the textbook at all even though he says you. Really easy and fun

Professor Wallace is one of the best profs at Grand Valley. His lectures are very effective and entertaining. You will need to take a lot of notes and go to class every day because the exams are based solely on what he lectures on/says in class. He is so funny and always tells awesome stories. If you can take Wallace, Take him!!!

Absolutely one of my favorite profs ever. He's so sweet and he makes class so fun! We learn such interesting things anyway and he makes them even more interesting with stories and such. Loved having him! Just make sure you go to class or have a buddy take notes since tests are only on lecture and not from the book

Absolutely loved professor Wallace. He was passionate about his job and really cared about us passing. His personality makes lectures not so boring, hes very funny and usually has a story to tell that fits in with the topic due to his military and police background. He also has the cutest service dog ever. Very interesting class. Only 4 tests

Professor Wallace is truly one of the best profs I've ever had. He cares about the subject as well as his students. He purposely takes time at the beginning of class to see how people are doing. There are a lot of powerpoints in this class, but if you take good notes you'll pass no problem. The tests are easy and there is only one "big" project.

Professor Wallace was great. After taking CJ 101 I added it on as a minor because I enjoyed his class so much. It is fairly easy, being a 101 course, and if you take notes, the exams are a piece of cake. Lots of application and examples. He grades papers very easily and is always available before the deadline if you want him to check your work

Professor Wallace was cop before becoming a professor and often shares stories during class. His lectures are never boring and the 3 tests were all multiple choice. The grade was also based on an employment notebook, and five minute speech. Overall, I found this class interesting and would take it again.
