Dr. Chen is one of the most caring Profs I have ever had. I would say though that he is super hard and often thinks you know more than you really do and in turn gives extremely hard exams. I do have to say that at times it is hard to understand him but if you are willing to put the time in you'll=ok

The man is a GENIUS. No doubt. If you're not there in class, he could go through the whole book in an hour. But, he will LITERALLY bend over backwards to help you learn the material. He often would stay until very late helping those who had trouble get the material.

Probably the easiest way to put it is that this guy is a genius - only problem is that sometimes he forgets his students arent though. Great guy too- knows your name, asks about you, etc. Makes class funny too.

Very nice and willing to help. He is a good teacher, though sometimes he goes through concepts too fast. However, he is so smart it's hard for him to judge how much you should know. Because of this, exam difficulty is inconsistent-from easy to grad level
