Comment:

DR NACK IS AMAZING! She is so passionate and her lectures are interesting. She cares for and listens to her students. There are no tests in this course only papers about class readings. Readings are interesting and focus on social and political issues. I would definitely take Dr. Nack again.

Comment:

Dr. Nack is the most understanding and flexible professor out there. Very well rounded in her knowledge and her material. Gives very little assignments depending if you are in SOC 300 or 200 since they combine, assignments were due at the end of the semester, admire her dearly. always available! Taken for an UD credit but very interesting class

She is very dedicated and knows her material. Her lectures are very long, and you only get a 5 minute break for 3,5 hour lectures. The exams are multiple choice and true/false. She asks for specifics, but she lets you bring a cheat sheet. She is probably a very good professor if you are a soc major, but for me it was hard.

Take a class w Dr. Nack!!! SOOO insightful + makes the class very safe & open. Very creative approach to presenting course material. NO exams but quite a bit of papers! Makes u work hard, learn effectively, and have fun. HIGH-QUALITY course. Go to her office hours--she is always willing to help! Wish she taught more HNRS courses!

If you have her for the Honors seminar, there is not a single exam, but you write about 10 papers. If you do the readings (which are not that hard), or show up and take notes in class, you will at least get an A. Also she assigns extra credit all the time! Take advantage! I have higher than 100% in that class.

Professor Nack is a kind instructor and a well researched academic. She really knows and understands deviant acts and behaviors that we struggle to comprehend. Her tests are a mixture of multiple choice and essay questions. The questions can be confusing sometimes and there are very few points in the class, so a bad score will affect your grade.

Dr. Nack is an amazing professor whose classes reassured me that I switched to the right major. If you come in with the mindset willing to learn and take the knowledge from her class in the real world -- the work becomes secondary and information comes naturally.

Although she is less confusing than Dr. Marichal, who co-teaches, they are very opinionated. If you do not agree with what she says and believes (AKA far left), you will not get an A. They are very tough graders who do not clarify what they want. She even said it's impossible to get an A, even on small assignments. Only 100 points in the class.

I took her Deviance in US Society class and absolutely loved her. She's an amazing professor, who always keep lectures interesting. She also has a lot of insight based on the work she's done. Her class actually motivated me to double major in soc.

Honestly it a fun and interesting class, but I couldnt stand the way she tought it. 1-3 pop quizzes per week. So you ready 20-40 pages then may or may not be tested. And even if you read, some of the questions arent clear and you still fail. I hated having my whole grade be based on quizzes. The rest of my class felt this way as well.

This might be the best class I've ever taken, and I'm not even a Soc major. It would be a huge mistake to leave this school without taking a class with Dr. Nack. Genuinely interested in student's progress and success, and a true pioneer in her field. I can't say enough good things about her - take her class!

Dr. Nack is so beautiful, brilliant, charming, and engaging, it's hard not to like her and her class. I hope I marry someone just like her! =) My swooning aside (she is very professional and happily married), she is one of the best teachers in the school and you would be remiss in failing to take a course with her.

she is an awesome teacher. i took sex and society with her. she is extremely knowledgeable and is able to teach the subject in a professional manner while also keeping the class interested. attendence is not mandatory, but most people don't want to miss it. great class! i will definitely be taking another class with her before i graduate!
