Comment:

You'll never be bored with him because he's HILARIOUS! However, I had trouble adjusting to his teaching methods. He doesn't do multiple choice test often and is a tough grader. He lectures heavily so miss class at your own risk. He base the test questions solely on his notes so don't even bother paying $90 on that access code for the textbook.

Great professor and great class! Make sure to take notes and pay attention. Do not miss any days! I think he is the most down to earth teacher ever! Hes shows that he cares and I would definitely take another one of his lectures. I made a B in this class only because I didnt prepare for my first exam.

I took Professor Comminey over the Summer. I was fresh out of high school, so the transition was a bit tough for me, but he was an excellent teacher and very knowledgable in the subject. The lectures were the entire class and we had test about every two weeks, but he worked with us towards the end of the term.

took mr. commininey for one of my history prereqs and im so glad i did. he is so funny, loves to joke around, and really knows the information he teaches. important to take notes and go to class because his tests are based mostly off those notes. as long as you study the notes and skim through the book you should be good!

Best teacher . He's funny and gives you plenty of opportunities to pass the class . Jut don't except to show up and pass . Come to class ready to listen and take notes . Bc I guarantee everything he says in his lecture will be on the test . So take good notes and listen . He jokes around and keeps this class interesting you won't be bored .

The BEST teacher i have encountered being that it is my first year here. He gives bouns assignments. The test are that complicated if you take good notes. He lectures very well and he knows his stuff when it comes down to black history! I would recommend him to anyone! You could definitely learn a lot and pass his class with ease!

He is a cool professor but , lets just say almost everyone in the class is failing. He is a horrible grader and sometimes you don't know what to expect. There is no test review or anything, you MUST read. He springs test on you and you end up being ill-prepared because he will tell you the day before the test that you have a test..

Dr. Comminey was a great teacher. He was clear, tests weren't bad if you took great notes. I never read the book, i just literally typed everything he said and made an A in the class. He likes to joke with classmates. Even though i took his class at night, it wasn't horrible. He did not often make us stay the whole 3 hours. Great teacher!

Dr. Comminey is the BEST HISTORY instructor at the University. He knows History, specifically African History. He's an amazing storyteller through his lectures. Covers a lot of material so it will be in your best interest to attend class. He has a life so he's not trying to spend it all in class with his students.
