Lots of busy work, but usually get 5 points each class period for showing up. Nothing is "hard" but quizzes online are the hardest and they are open book. The Professor is caring and will work with you if you have something come up!

Carlson was a very good teacher. Made Class entertaining and wasn't too hard. Would drop Questions Majority of the students got wrong. Attendance points were every class so I'd show up.

she has a few papers(5) through out the semester but she gives you time. there is an overall presentation regarding the paper you did and you present it in class. she only has two exams a little tricky but if you actually study and pay attention at times you will be fine. she also has attendance so if u plan to skip at least get a buddy.

I've taken professor Carlson twice now and she's probably my favorite professor at SCSU. She makes class so fun and is actually interested in the subjects. You have in-class exercises almost daily so it's important to come to class but as long as you're there you get the points. I read some of the comments saying tests are hard but I disagree.

Hands down one of my favorite profs at SCSU. she is so nice and her lectures are interesting, she doesn't just read from the slides. There are daily activities worth point so it's important to show up, but it also helps to get to know the people in the class. The test are moderately difficult but if you actually study you will be okay.

Honestly, her lectures absolutely has nothing to do with the exams. If you read the textbook, you'll tend to do better. However the exam itself is actually very hard. Do not take this course for granted. It's not an easy class whatsoever. She is a very nice professor, she also curves the exams in the end. (Since the exams are hard)

The lectures are interesting and use good examples except the lecture has nothing to do with the exams. Liked the class. but the exams were tough.

She's pretty good for the international management class. She has a lot of personal experience from traveling a lot. Nothing was particularly hard and she grades pretty nicely. You do a report on a country of your choice and thats pretty much the last half of the semester. They are painful to sit through but it fine. Tests are not hard either.

Likes to engage students in real life examples, helps to understand the material. In order to get an A on tests, READ, READ, READ! It's best to read the chapters as you go this way you're not cramming at the end. it's worth it. In class assignments worth 5pts, SUPER EASY, & add up to test grade at the end. but must show up to gain credit for them

Comment:
Tests are very specific and lectures are long. She does not base her tests off her lectures, it is only from the book's test bank questions, which asks specific questions and examples strictly from the chapters. While lecturing she does not refer to the book at all, making it difficult when the test is book based

Took 365 and 470 with her. One of the best professors I've had at SCSU. Super helpful, tests are pretty easy. For 470, attend all the summits and pay attention. She has students write questions and gives a quiz @ end of semester. Most did poorly on that quiz (though part of it was from the summit that hadn't yet been presented).

Good professor, good class. I would take her again. Its not a free A, but if you study for the exams its not too bad. Also, there are a ton of participation points so it helps.

She became the professor of the course after the first month. She stepped in and adopted the prior's syllabus to match her teaching style which is a lot of in class work. None too difficult, and used d2l while the prior professor was not. This made the class better, easier to follow, and preparing for tests was great with lecture notes from d2l

Really great prof, tries to make the material as interesting as possible and gives real world examples. If you miss class she expects you to seek out the information you missed from another classmate or her if you missed a case. A lot of in class activities, and her tests are really book driven.

This was an interesting and easy class. I studied the power points and vocabulary and did well on the exams. There was one paper, and lots of in class assignments for attendance. Exams are multiple choice. I would take a class from Carlson again.

Carlson is a good professor. She tries to keep material interesting. There were two exams, lots of tiny in class assignments and case studies. You have to do three news article write ups, two papers, and a presentation. There was a lot of homework for the class, but if you do it all and try a little, an A is easy.

Amazing Professor! Definitely recommend Anita not only because of the great class discussions, but the ability to actually learn about current events. 2 Tests (study PowerPoints only) Interview (easy grader), Paper and Presentation @ the end of the semester that are solo (no group work at all). I would take her class again!

Love her! I had her MGMT 364 a couple of years back and took her again on purpose. Take her if you can. She is really reasonable, straight forward, and tries to make class interesting.
