He is a very intelligent professor. He encourages his students and also wants you to do well by participating in class discussion. You may write 3 short papers and a final term paper. The professor is a good and respectful man. Take him because he is the best teacher in English course.

Professor DiFranco is a nice, easy going professor. His class consisted of a lot of class discussions, many one page papers you have to do for homework, and one written midterm and final paper. He is very generous when it comes to grading and very rarely gave below an A on a writing assignment. Would recommend!

Prof. Difranco is one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and I love this class. It's basically a writing workshop where only positive feedback exists. I haven't seen him give anyone below an A. About 7 papers, they're short and about you and you share some with the class. Easy if you enjoy writing. I'm sad I can't take this class again.

Prof D makes his lectures so Philosophical, that its not even a Literature class. This class reminds me of a study hall in high school. He is a cool lady back guy but he is very corny. YOu have to present a poem, write a few 1 page papers.

A very incredible class. You write personal papers and have the chance to share them with the class, and because of this, the class bonded greatly. As the course progressed, I felt like I was reading to a room of friends. Prof. Difranco creates a welcoming and comfortable classroom environment and made it a very enjoyable and enriching experience!

EASY A! Homeworks are reading assignments then write down one question. Lectures can be boring if the class isn't involved. For the midterm you had to present a poem then give your thoughts, he asks you some questions as well. Final was an essay on a book he wrote. He is a super laid back man. Would definitely take him again!

A wonderful man. Taking his class was more about writing and English. It was really about discovering who you are. He had to take a medical leave for the last half of the semester, and he still made a profound impact on all of his students.

Difranco is the most peaceful and laid back professor. He wants to share his knowledge with his students and hear what we have to say through the papers we write. Very sweet man. Easy class I would recommend if you want an easy A.

This class is very peaceful. You write about whatever and read it in front of the class. And you talk about each others essays. I am not a fan of reading out loud but you can choose what essay to read. Difranco is nice, he is passionate about english and in my opinion an easy grader. No midterm or final just essays every week or 2 whatever length.

Impersonal professor that gave awkwardly long lectures. Nobody was required to give feedback, so the class often let him go on by himself for the full class. He only took attendance for the first month. A textbook is required. The assignments he gave were extremely simple-"Write a question for the character." Easy class, but hard to pay attention.

The teacher is very nice. The class is very easy, but not really interesting. He talks about the stories that you have read for the entire class in a very soft spoken voice. Make sure you get your papers back or he may lose them.

Very kind and always has something nice to say. I loved listening to what he had to say about things. Super easy class, no text book, tests or finals. Write 2-4 page papers every 1 or 2 weeks on any topic, the average of all your papers is your final grade. It was a relaxing and non-stressful class. I definitely recommend taking professor DiFranco!

DiFranco is such a wonderful teacher. I took English Lit - I am not one to love reading novels but it was a requirement. So when I saw his good ratings on here I decided to take him (Spring 2013). Exams, papers, and one speech is very easy! Speech - basically a conversation between you and him in front of the class. Nothing to worry about! TAKE HIM

He is a very nice, easygoing guy who really likes to talk. While there might be some days where you really just want to blow your brains out because of how much he talks, there are also days that he is really interesting. He is also amazingly understanding. If you guys haven't guessed I got an A in that class! :)
