Applied Planning program was intense but well worth all the work. Thanks to Brian's excellent teaching skills and hands on approach I am currently employed in the Planning industry and have been for 5 years.

APPL 1210 is A LOT of work for a first year class. I was not in his program, and he graded me with that in mind which was needed. His classes are boring, and very redundant. All the assignments are long and tedious and very repetitive, but not complicated. I would only recommend this class if you need it for continuing studies.

Comment:

Brian is a great guy, he's very helpful and truely wants his students to do well. His projects are fairly ambitious with not a lot of time available to complete them. Very opinionated, watch out sim city planners.

Brian is a very practical instructor. I think he's done a good job as the coordinator of the program at Langara. His teaching techniques are engaging and he often gets good conversations going in the class. He is sometimes a bit unclear in giving guidelines for the projects, but he's also very helpful and does his best to clarify the problems.

Brian is a wonderful professor. His enthusiasm towards the subject matter is contagious. He is fair & cares about his students. He makes an extra effort to understand each situation. Because he is so easygoing, he is too lenient and is easily taken advantages by students who want to get away with the least amount of work.

Brian is a really easy going guy and fairly nice. He hasn't had much teaching experience in the past, so his teaching style is all over the place. Expect HUGE projects with little information and hardly any direction. Quiz's are insane. Marks are overall good, if you attempt the work.

ZZZZzzz. Ask him a question and his reply will confuse you even more. Insecure teacher with low self esteem. Nice but boring. Overall interesting material but the class projects are over ambitious. Expected to just know.

He is a really nice intructor but he is too mono toned making the class very boring, especially during 3 hours classes, its a killer
