I have passed every class I have ever taken with +90%. However, with her class, I barely could make it to 80 with a 77. During our extended break, she still had quizzes due. Later said, we could make it up. She said she opened them, but never did I checked every day. If you put "and" instead of "/," it's wrong. DON'T TAKE. SAVE YOUR GPA PLEASE!!!

Taking SOC101 at Carrington College. This teacher is terrible. She doesn't follow the grading rubric rules. Doesn't respond to messages. Does not offer support. I pay a lot to take these courses. The teachers would be more supportive of the students. Laziness to me. Just there to get a paycheck. No wonder she doest have PhD after her name.

HORRIBLE INSTRUCTOR!!! I'm currently taking her online sociology class at Carrington College. She is a tough grader, I have texted her 3 times & she has yet to respond & I am struggling on one of the assignments that's due & she is not helping me at all. She shouldn't be an instructor if she lacks communication with her students. She is horrible.

Class is great as long as you come to every class and do all your assignments. She is pretty good at posting everything we need on webstudy. Expect to have a quiz every week only for each chapter. She strongly suggest mysoclab and i agree. I used the online lab for sample quizzes that helped me her actual quiz. Very nice lady

To take her online quizzes study both the book material and her powerpoint. In the beginning she claims listening to her powerpoint was essential however I never did. Her midterm and final were mainly from her powerpoint lectures. I just studied her study guides for any graded assignment. I corrected many errors on exams that she had marked wrong.

STUDENTS BEWARE **If taking SOC240, go out of your way to choose a class w/ a different professor!!** A good deal of students in my class dropped it and many have had to file complaints. I have NEVER had such a horrible experience with a professor. Info/tests full of errors, wrong info constantly being posted, ignores emails, incorrect grading, etc

Comment:

Strictly teaches from her own developed power points but is very clear and precise with examples. Her quizzes and exams on the other hand can be deceiving and difficult. I felt as though I feel as though I didn't learn as much about the subject matter as I wanted to. Also, too many different directions at one time. I would not recommend.

Comming from a science background I dreaded the concept of this class, but she is an excellent teacher and knows her stuff, plus keeps the material interesting. P.S. All web-study classes, suck--so don't be a moron. Oh, wait, that's why you take them :( then complain because you cannot "hack" it.

took this class online and it was the worst online experience I have ever had! Does not respond in timely manner, had to do a group project, not clear on what she wanted us to do and there were a lot of errors in grading. Glad its over!

Took the online class and hated it. She is very nice, but takes a long time to respond to emails, which is not good for an online class. Bunch of her quizzes had errors. Had to do a group powerpoint presentation that belonged in an economics class, not sociology. Definitely wasn't expecting a class like this, and will be happy when it's over.
