Dr. Boyd is the only professor I've had who exhibits simultaneous passion for her field and for the science of instruction. She is as enthusiastic about teaching as she about geology, which is saying a lot. A true professional and the only teacher I've had who put in as much work as I did.

I took GLG 101 and 102 with Beth, and have since switched to being a geology major. She's a phenomenal instructor, makes the science easy to understand, and truly loves what she does. I recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Awsome teacher. We miss her in Nanaimo. Wants everyone to do well. Is very patient and clear!!! No tricks, she tells you exactly what is to be expected. The weekly notes that she printed out made it easier to pay attention to what she was saying in class.

I took Beth's class which she was teaching in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Beth is the BEST teacher I've ever had. She loves the subject and makes you love the subject. If you have a chance to take Beth's class, do it! She will be missed at Malaspina!
