I looked forward to every lecture in Mr. Barneys class! His witty tangents, sardonic humor and topic knowledge keep his lectures engaging. Show up for class and be prepared to take notes, as he is not one to "hold your hand" through the course. He is fair in his grading and clear about the criteria that you need to know for exams. :)

Comment:

Barney is a kind and caring old man. His lectures are interesting because he includes stories of his own life and cracks jokes to keep the classroom stress free. He knows his history like the back of his hand, but he also understands that history is a hard subject for students to relate to. I highly recommend this class to anyone!

Mr. Barney is a great teacher. It's an easy class to pass if you study. He's hilarious so it makes his classes fun. He gets off topic easily but it's worth it. I wish he taught more than history 1301. I'm sad this class is ending. Hands down my favorite college professor.

Professor Barney was one of the funniest teachers I have had so far. His lectures are fun to listen to as he adds his own personal experience to the history lesson. Only four-five tests were given but as long as you study the topics he gives you, its an easy A.

I took him for History II and I enjoyed his lectures. If you study on the topics he lectures, you will do fine. When there is something he lectures that is different from the text, he is right, he wants you to rely on his information if the numbers or facts are not correct from the history book. I like his method of teaching.

I really enjoyed Mr. Barney's class! He is funny and knows his stuff. You will definitely remember what he teaches you. I'm glad I chose to take his class because he's a great teacher. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Barney is super easy. His class basically works like this. He writes on the board 25 topics he's going to go through before our test. Out of those 25, he will pick 12 for our test, and we have to pick 10 to write about on our test. We say what we know and its historical significance. Simply as that. Now he does get off topic alot, but he's easy

A very adept history teacher. He definitely loves history and is more interested in teaching so you can learn, passing the test is a by product of that. Tests were difficult for me because he gives very little time to write out the questions, but if you know the material it's impossible to fail. Tends to go off on unrelated, entertaining tangents.

Funny teacher that loves history. Kept us entertained although sometimes he went off on tangents not relating to topics. take good notes & memorize the historical significance of the topic for exams. He does have you rate yourself & then decides whether he agrees with you or not. over all simple class.

Comment:

Mr Barney is a very interesting teacher, he keeps the class involved with his off the wall comments. He tells tons of stories, and is very insightful about History! Test are not that bad, he gives Essay Test, where you write on different topics and then you calculate your score, and he'll either agree or disagree with you. Overall I reccomend him!
