Comment:

I would not choose her again. She does not offers plenty of criticism, nothing constructive. This professor is not only boring, her comments are insulting. Do your best, spend hours on your essays but be prepared to receive a 0% for any little mistake; you'll be lucky if she corrects her grade.

Very difficult professor expects perfection, don't use the Bible in your research papers, it will most certainly cause your paper to be graded harshly. She does how ever give you several chances to perfect your papers. I gave her a 2 for clarity because I couldn't figure out what she was asking for at times.

Dr. Cole expects quality, but makes assignments clear and answers emails quickly if you need clarification. She includes several resources on her class site to help students succeed as long as you're willing to do some digging. Very understanding if assignments are late for a valid reason, but not a pushover. I definitely recommend her class.

Comment:

Dr. Cole is the only way to travel when navigating the minefield that is SCF. The creative writing class is a 'must' for anyone who needs a Gordon Rule class, and/or loves writing. Her instructions are a bit tricky. They're not in outline form - which makes sense given the subject. I can't imagine anyone regretting the choice to take this class.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this professor! She is brilliant, incredibly funny, witty, and she knows her stuff. Probably the most intelligent professor at SCF . . . what is she doing *there* anyway? Pure genius! ~Best~ professor for 1101, 1102, and creative writing.

She's super laid back, but she's a no-bull kind of lady. You show that you are interested in the work, and willing to do it, and she will appreciate everything you do. If you give only half effort, she won't favor you at all. She's kind of wacky, but intelligent and really cool.

She's kind of kooky but nice. I took the blended claass so only had class once a week but it was entertaining when we did meet. I did well in the beginning but then started to get lower grades towards the end. Semi-tough grader but usually points out why she gave you the grade she did. If you actually try you should be okay.

I took the blended class, and liked the set-up. Most of the writing was narrative, which I found odd, but it lets you be creative. She's really laid back, almost to a fault. She flies through the lectures and doesn't have a whole lot to say, but she grades pretty strictly. I'm an English major so I did great but some of my peers struggled.

Dr. Cole is AMAZING. She is the best English instructor I have ever had, hands down. This woman KNOWS her literature and will go out her way to see that you succeed. Provides extra credit, lets you make up tests, and lets you resubmit assignments. As long as you do the work, she will make sure you get a good grade! LOVE HER! Highly recommended!

Prof. Cole is very friendly and makes class enjoyable. There is a lot of work involved, but if you stay on top of things, it won't be very difficult at all. Homework is usually pretty easy. You will be sharing your written work with the class regularly; if you're comfortable with that, this class will be easy and fun.

I LOVE COLE! I have taken her for 2 classes and I have already enrolled in another one of her classes for spring. She is fun, she's respectful of people's ideas/opinions, and she wants her students to succeed. She appreciates hard work and she grades fair. I would recommend her for ALL of the classes she teaches. Best teacher at SCF!
