Strange grading scale (out of 4.0) means if you get a B on one of 4 papers and perfect scores on everything else, you will only get an A-.

Tough teacher for Grammar/Pedagogy. However, she's fun, sarcastic, and puts self-labeled Grammar Nazis in their place when they try to correct her. The weekly quizzes are difficult - I missed ONE class and my grade dropped from a solid A to a B-.

Fitzgerald is very helpful esp during her office hours. She is a good teacher and explains everything. However, she gives a lot of pointless quizzes that I could have done without, but they did help to boost my grade. She expects a lot from her students and can be hard on them. Also, she doesn't play favorites.

Awesome Teacher. Funny, but informative. Keeps students at ease but challenges them at the same time. She wants her students to do well. Not a hard class. =)

Prof Fitz is really an awesome teacher, one of my favorites second semester. She is an excellent teacher who is not too hard and not too easy. She doesn't waste time teaching the material and doesn't drag on in class. You get in, learn, and get out and the class is straight forward. She also has a great sense of humor and she doesn't even try. A+!

Professor Fitz. is great if you want her to be. If you work hard by taking notes, listening to what she has to say and do the assignment, the papers will be a breeze and the quizzes will be easy. I am getting a strong B and know that the A is not that far. If you do all your assignments on time and incorporate her teachings in your work , ur set

Professor Fitz's class was incredibly easy. She focused on grammer the entire semester. I did not learn how to improve my writing at all but she grades so easily that I got an A on every essay. In total there are a lot of quizes on grammar and four essays that make up your grade. Take her class for an easy A, but don't expect to learn much.

omg. I had to reread this professor's name countless times just to make sure all these comments were for the right professor. Professor Fitzgerald literally spoon feeds her students the material, lets her students out early, and offers to help every student to the point where you really cannot perform poorly in this class! Just do the work. ur set

For the required class of UCWR, do NOT TAKE. She's better than Walsh, but she's condescending and doesn't care much about the students she knows are taking her only to meet a requirement. Lets class out early usually, but is a very hard grader.

Expects homework and papers to be on time, but also flexible. She defin cares about her students and wants them to succeed, but you have to show the effort. If you are no

HORRIBLE WITCH! I am not just complaining because it was hard. (I got a B which doesn't even compare to the effort I put in) NO personality NEVER smiles NEVER laughs. Ok teaching wise but she could care less about the students. I felt like I was walking into a death chamber every day in that class. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!

Dr. Fitzgerald can be somewhat intimidating. She is a very difficult grader, and this can be a bit disheartening. It is obvious though that she really wants to help her students improve their writing. If you honestly want a challenge and to improve your writing, by all means take her. If you want an easy A, go with another professor.

The very first thing we did in this class was read an article on how teachers give out too many A's, and how college now is a joke compared to college a few decades ago. Teaches more about the articles she wants you to write about than how to write them. Not a big fan

Interesting class, but she is a hard grader and picky. Takes of a letter grade for 2 and more misspellings, comma splices, etc. on papers She teaches you how to write better. There are 5 papers (75% of grade) other 25% are quizzes (on readings) and inclass activities. If you want to learn how to write take her. Looking for an easy A? dont take her.

Arbitrary grader. If there's any pattern to it, she grades impossibly if she doesn't like you. If you took English in High School you learn nothing in this class. You'll contemplate transfer if you take this class.

if you aren't a good writer, she will definitely help you with the basic mechanics of writing. she's not there to give out A's. she really wants to help students become better writers for future papers and classes. really tough grader, but in the end, is worth taking. you'll learn how to write
