Comment:

Most people don't like Singh, but I really enjoyed his class. You do have articles to read for every class period and that is what he discusses in class, but they are all rather interesting. If you dont read dont expect to do well as test questions literally say "according to article ____" The more you talk in class/answer ?'s the more he likes you

This class is not hard if you read. He assigns articles to read every night and if you read them you will pass the test but if you don't then you shouldn't expect a good grade. His tests will literally say "according to article _____". If you go to his office hours he will help you. He can be a little rude sometimes but overall he is a good prof.

Dr. Singh is very rude and insensitive. If you don't want your personal life revealed to the entire class then I suggest not taking his class because apparently it's his prerogative to give out extremely personal information about his students in the middle of a lecture.

Can be mean at times, but if you do what you're supposed to and pay attention in class you'll do well. No graded homework, which is nice. But your whole grade is based on three exams. So study hard! He really knows what he's talking about, and makes it clear what he expects

Be prepared to read about 12 pages a night. And print all of those pages on your own. (Don't worry- I didn't go over 500 at the library.) You have 2 options. 1. Read, take notes, participate. 2. Avoid eye contact, skim all articles before the exam, and RECORD THE REVIEW. (He normally reviews but not always) Listen to review at least 2x, and pray.

Dr. Singh's class was great for me. He knows so much and there is so much you can learn if you put in the effort. He teaches all from articles that he requires you to read and tests completely from them so as long as you read and take notes you will do well in the class. Pairing this class with Dr. Hickman's Comparative Politics class is great too!

Dr. Singh's class is based wholly off of articles of the internet. He loves to threaten the class with hard tests, but really the class is an easy A if you just read over the articles once. An assistant gives weekly review sessions in case Singh confuses you (which he will). The review sessions are VERY helpful.

Comment:

Dr Singh was one of my all-time favorite professors in my longer-than-average college career. I took his class because it fit my schedule. He raised my interest in government to the point that I almost changed my major to PoliSci. Take notes, people. Listen. Then you, too, can become his student tutor. Excellent teacher!

Overall, Dr. Singh is a clear and consistent lecturer with the majority of the emphasis in the class pertaining to the assigned articles and other reading assignments. Bottom line: If you read carefully and consistently, you will do well. My only criticism is that the wording of the questions on the exams could stand to be more clear.

If you read the material and speak out in class you will make an A or A- he is clear that he does move grades (for me a B+ to an A-) and his class is not hard if you do the work. Singhe is a clear, interesting, funny teacher.

Dr. Singh was a great teacher! A lot of people say he is difficult but I find that hard to believe. Speak up in class, and pay attention when he reviews all the articles before the test. I highlighted my notes, and only studied those parts and made an A on every exam. Plus Singh is funny and knows what he's talking about.

Dr. Singh is not very helpful at all--either you do well in his class and he likes you or not. Even after reading the articles twice, the exams were still difficult. He also often went through the reviews much too quickly, and the class was very dry.

Comment:

Singh does a good job of covering the articles in class. The day before the exam has good review as well. Using the study guide while reading articles and listening in class will allow for a pretty easy A. I generally don't like any government/history class, but Singh presents the material in an interesting way.

I did not enjoy Dr. Singh's class. It may be because I have no interest in the subject he teaches but I found it difficult to keep up with him. I also got the feeling that he was always impatient with us. Talked too fast. But surprisingly I had a good grade in the the class so I guess he wasn't so bad.

Dr. Singh is an amazing teacher. He really gets to know his students well and his tests are not too hard. He goes over material well. He is a great mentor and I actually became interested in government. He will teach you so much! His class was my best at Berry so far!

this man is amazing, hes got a great sense of humor and the way he sounds just makes you pay attention. if you read the articles youll do fine but if you dont just make sure you pay attention in class. thats pretty much what i do and im doing great. keep it up Dr. Singh!!!!! You Da Boss!!! i wish he tought all my classes!!!!
