Comment:

Dr. Chappell is a great professor. I recommend her to all of my friends now. There are 4 exams including the final & they're all multiple choice. She makes the class fun and gives a lot of examples to help understand the content better. No papers in this class, only exams and online simulation homework that I finished all of them early.

Comment:

She's laid back, hilarious and easy to talk to. The lectures were pretty fun. The tests weren't bad, if you study you'll pass (though everyone didn't do very well on the second test). Class never started on time, usually 5-10 minutes behind then she'd complain that we were behind the other class.

no study guide. only need the book if you need extra study material. she is always late to class. don't expect her to email you back. she doesn't explain the material well. you will fail the second exam (everyone did in my class). this class has math in it. exams are hard, you need to study a lot. I don't care for her at all. mediocre prof.

Comment:

I loved Dr. Chappell. Very funny, and lectures were not something I dreaded, I actually loved going to class. Made content relatable and class discussions were always fun to listen to. I did not think her tests were that difficult, if you study you'll generally get the grade you'd expect. Online assignments were easy and took no more than 20 mins.

one of my favorite professors. she is easy to talk to and is always willing to meet with you to help you study or answer any questions. her lecture goes by fast because they require your effort and attention. case studies are easy and her exams aren't that hard as long as you study a week in advance. i would recommend her to anyone.

Prof Chappell is a lively funny lady but the tests are way too hard. She takes days to respond to an email, so odds are if you have a question you'll have to ask it in class. The content is fun and interesting to talk about so there are a lot of group discussions. But if you want a good grade in the class you have to study the book like crazy!

Great professor! She's hilarious and sarcastic. She's very open to class discussion and will take the time to answer everyone's questions to make sure you get it. Weekly assignments are a good grade-booster and really help prepare you for exams. Best professor I've ever had.

This class is mostly a breeze-- weekly assignments due but they are simple and shouldn't take you longer than 10-15 minutes. The tests can definitely be tricky if you don't prepare enough, they are very conceptual. Chappell is super enthusiastic and hilarious, I really enjoyed lecture a lot. The material is interesting too!

Comment:

The class lectures were interesting, and related to every-day life and real racial issues. Class seems very easy but exams and assignments are extremely difficult. Chappell does not adequately prepare students for exams and did not explain assignments before assigning them, which made it very difficult to succeed. NEED textbook to do well.

She was really great! Mostly lectures but she gives you the powerpoints on myclasses. She only takes attendance for borderline grades and the tests are not easy nor hard. The two "papers" you have to right are case studies and no more than 2 paragraphs or answering a few questions. Interesting material.

Dr. Chappell is nice but she's extremely sarcastic so don't take that as her being rude. She definitely treated this as an upper-level course. No study guides or rubics and she does not remind you when things are due, its up to you to know. But if you print out the power points and take notes in class you can study them and you will be fine

A small paper each week, and exams are straightforward. This course is mostly about the psychologists, not about personality. Come to class having done the reading, prepare a few days before the exam, and you will get an A. Nice lady, will happily elaborate. If you take lecture notes (or you could just read the book before the exam), you're fine.

Dr. Chappell is awesome! Made every class interesting and fun. Had a sense of humor lol. Explained things clearly. Simple Myclasses assignments due weekly and exams came from the notes and chapter readings. Exams were appropriately challenging if you understand the material and read the chapter for clarity. Overall I recommend her!

I love this woman! The material in the class is interesting in itself, and she makes it that much better. She likes people who participate in discussion and she's not afraid to joke around. Reading the text is important, but the book is an easy read. Exams are appropriately challenging. Simple myclasses assignments every week.

I really enjoyed her because she did not feed everything to you and it did not always feel like you were being "talked at". Great discussions and challenging tests make her a formidable professor. I am taking her again this semester!
