Very nice lady! Started off the quarter with a pretty light homework load. Towards the end of the quarter though, homework probably doubled. The essays were hard to write, and she wasn't much help.

Professor Patrick assigns a lot of reading and most things I learned were from the text. She chooses really interesting articles and is a very nice teacher, but she grades pretty tough compared to how she acts. I felt a little bored and she does treat the class like middle schoolers. If you stay on task and do your homework, this is a pretty easy A

Professor Patrick is very helpful. Her grading is fair. She assigns essays but if she thinks you need to improve the assignment she will give you suggestions and allow you to resubmit. She doesn't mark down for a small amount of lateness (1 day). Her class was challenging and enjoyable. I learned a lot in this class.

ENG 101 by Professor Patrick is very easy to participate. She gives a lot of time, information and strategy on essays. I never liked English classes, but her class is definitely right for me. It is my pleasure to be in her class.

Professor Patrick's class was a little tough, but as long as you turn the work in you'll do well. If you don't show up for class, it WILL hurt your grade. She often treated us like we were in middle school, and would yell at us to pay attention. She also gets crabby when you have electronics out, or just anytime..

Her class is super easy as long as you do the work and take the time to perfect it to your best ability. You are usually given more than enough time for class activities as well as for homework and essays. Although certain criteria will seem pointless, by the end of the quarter you will more than likely realize how much you learned from her class.

I enjoyed having Patrick as my teacher this quarter. It was relatively easy as long as you do the work. Each piece of work we did led up to the essay we were writing about and it definitely made it easier. If you fall behind its hard to catch up because theres always new assignments but again theyre easy. Super nice and flexible if your struggling

She kind of treats you like you're in middle school. Our class was held in a computer lab and she always locked the computers because we were being "childish" and the typing of keys distracted her. I'd advise not taking her.

I took this class online, I made sure not to register for any online classes next quarter. She assigned homework on Saturday and wanted it done on Monday. Some instructions were difficult to understand as well. She used a program to correct our essays that couldn't tell when something was quoted or written by the student.

Those who rate this prof poor are just lazy. Go to class, do the work, easy 4.0 Most Engl-101 teacher require at least 2 term papers. This class had two essays that were done step by step. Some busy work may seem silly but it really helped my writing. Patrick is really nice and sweet.

If you do the work getting an A is easy. There is a mix of busy work and essays. No papers! Clarity is somewhat frustrating at times but other than that, good teacher. Friendly and nice.

If you enjoy writting essays about the same topic all quarter long, being swamped with essay after essay ON TOP OF using 3-4 different online websites through out the class, unclear instructions, and being treated like a child .. then she is for you. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE; she is very nice.

There was pretty much no in class instruction. She missed at least four days of class. She addresses you like your child. Class may as well have been online. Angel website assignments not clear. She was disorganized. Many other students felt the same. Had a conversation with Dean of students for English department regarding her.

Very unprofessional. Is habitually absencent due to nanny duty priorities, but students' grades are heavily tied to attendance. Treats you like a child, very little respect. Excellent textbook though, however it deserves a better instructor.

Great teacher who is very thoughtful. She breaks down the course into small steps and as group we work together so no one gets left behind. She treats all with respect. The students do not reciprocate which is common in college today. Her grading is more than fair. She deserves quality students who desire the tools for success. She is Awesome!

If you enjoy being spoken to like a five-year-old, struggling to stay awake during horribly boring lectures, and constantly rehashing a single topic for all of your papers for an entire quarter, then this is the professor for you!

I thoroughly enjoyed this English class. I learned a lot about rhetorical writing and i would definitely advise anyone interested in learning to become a better writer should take this class. Also, the book "Guide to Wrting" by Allyn and Bacon was amazing!

structures every class around her teachings in her remedial courses- if you don't need 99 and up, then take someone else. For 102 she didn't teach a damn thing, showed up late (if at all), and expected students to follow a structure and style outlined in previous classes. If you weren't taught 99 or 101 by her your screwed. Also extreme favoritism.

This is a great class with a great teacher. The class is EXTREMELY helpful with writing in other classes. The work is not hard, but challenging. The class is interesting and keeps you motivated. I took both Eng 101 and 102 with Professor Patrick. Highly reccomend.
