Comment:

She's super nice and approachable. Understands that not everyone is a native speaker. Tests are straightforward. Homework and classes are helpful to understanding the material. But sometimes, class can be slow but its mandatory. You definitely need the textbook (doesn't really matter which edition, only difference is the page numbers). Take her! :)

Profesor Loustau is honestly, in my opinion, the best Spanish teacher at Chapman. She is nice, very approachable, her classes require you to pay attention and do the work, but she is very aware of the work load she gives you and will work with her students so that it's manageable. I'd take a class again with her in a heartbeat!!

Loustou is so bad, we taught ourselves using the textbook. Since she is a native speaker, this should be easy for her (to speak Spanish that is). Has no teaching skills at all! Don't take her classes

Dr. Loustau is a true instructor, guiding you when needed and also letting you analyze and discover literature yourself. She will give clear instructions on what she expects from each class. she is a great teacher and she expects you to do your homework so you know what's going on in class, it's a good idea NOT to take this class if your spanish isn't great because most of the work is done at home. her tests are pretty easy if you know the material and she is always smiling. take her.

Laura is a great professor who unfortunately has to work with Chapman's lame Spanish Dept. For those who are native speakers or not I would strongly suggest just studying abroad in a spanish speaking country. The program here at Chapman is TERRIBLE and offers hardly any classes. The book they use is also very confusing and lame.

Laura is a very enthusiastic, enjoyable teacher. always has a smile on her face and seems to really enjoy what she does. Some of the lessons are a little difficult, but i think thats only because i am used to the way i was taught in high school, as opposed to the dos mundos method. overall, had a great class with her!

Very nice teacher! The course goes by real fast and even though it's stuff from SPAN 102 it's super hard. She's really helpful and you can talk to her about anything! She's always available in her office hours. But read the book and stay on top of assignments. She expects it of you.
