Comment:

I took this as an online class, yet she went above and beyond and still offered optional lectures. She is easily accessible during office hours and by email. She is very knowledgeable on the subject. She takes her time to walk you through each lecture and will help you in any way she can. Very difficult subject but she makes it much easier.

Comment:

Make sure you study for the tests. At the end of the semester, she drops the lowest test grade. The tests are proctored and multiple-choice, occasionally she will allow you to use an index card on these tests. If you have any questions she is more than willing to help. She appreciates you visiting office hours and if you do she is more lenient.

I had a very hard time in this class. Visited outside of class but still struggled. I understood textbook questions because they were taught during lectures but quizzes/tests were made herself and seemed much harder. She is very strict and reminded me of a middle school teacher; she knows what she is doing but tends to get carried away due to that.

Comment:

Taken her for both College Algebra and Pre-Calc Online, very caring and reasonable professor. While fantastic in class, I wish she would have added some lectures or power points of her own to the online class. MLP is a great resource but I love her teaching style and it could have helped me understand the material a bit better.

Pretty heavy work which I dont mind, her personality is just really hard to deal with. She makes me uncomfortable with a very strict and authoritarian attitude. She is very strict on phones and attendance. She does not allow you to have your phone out at all. If I am paying to be here I expect not to be reprimanded for the use of my cell phone.

Professor Smith is a great educator. She wants to see her students try and participate. She will not tolerate: ignoring the lecture, skipping class and/or not trying. Shes extremely open to questions and easy to access outside of class. She emails all students weekly for quiz reminders and office hour updates.

Had her for Calc I and II. Hands down best math professor I've ever had in my life. Lectures are long, but very thorough and clear. Tests and quizzes can be a bit rough, but nothing that isn't manageable with some studying. Homework quantity felt about right for the course load.

She is an excellent professor. Although Calculus I was a tough class, she made very clear presentations and went over examples of a variety of difficulty. She was also available multiple days and times during the week in her office for extra help. On the testsquizzes, she will give points for work even if the final answer is wrong.

I have never done so poorly in a class in all my life. I got As on the homework, quizzes, and the project. I worked through and reviewed all of the practice problems. Still, the tests were insanely hard. She was incredibly misleading about what they would cover and the problems were ridiculously difficult. DO NOT TAKE -Former Straight-A Student

Professor delivers material very clearly. She really cares about her students being successful, and will take extra time with you if you ask. She gives daily quizzes in lieu of book homework, which makes attending class important. Also supplies you with a lot of possible points! I will be taking her for the remainder of my math classses with her.

Math has always been the only obstacle from straight A's. However, she is friendly and energetic. She taught the subject well. I received a B and my only mishaps were due to dyslexia on tests.

She is a very nice teacher, very helpful! she doesn't give a lot of notes which I was unsure of at first, but she works the problems out step by step to where everyone will understand. You will be quizzed at the beginning of each class which turns out to be very helpful for you when it comes time for your unit tests.. I took her twice.
