Dr. Snider is a very nice person and very knowledgeable about history. Her lectures are very interesting and you take notes based on very easy to follow, structured outlines. However, I would not recommend her due to her extremely inconsistent grading on tests and her quizzes that are on book material, not notes. She also knew none of her students.

Dr. Snider is the best professor I've had at Berry so far! She typically lectures two days a week and friday is group discussion (easy points). She is very clear and just a nice person in general! TAKE SNIDER!

Gives 5 online quizzes straight from book however they are the hardest open book quizzes. Also there is small group work assignments but the tests are easy because she gives you a list of terms to know and she pulls them straight on to the test. Review sessions are a must go as she gives you answers to essays

Dr. Snider is extremely helpful and a great teacher. She is organized in what she teaches and just an all around great professor. I can not wait to have her again with another history class. She just knows what she teaches, lectures aren't that bad and the tests are pretty easy if you prepare for them.

Well, I love Dr. Snider, and this class was no exception. I would have made a higher grade, but I missed more than 3 courses (she does tell you in the syllabus not to do that). One thing you need to know is that she will expect you to pack in as much pertinent information as possible into your essay exams, which can be frustratingly hard.

Hard grader, and attendance is MANDATORY. She has no problems with taking your grade by a letter or more if you miss more than 3 classes. She lectures the entire class, and all of the tests are on lecture. Not a very fair grader, wants every last detail about EVERYTHING that was covered in her lectures. She expects you to make History your life.

Here are the facts. 1. You should be ready to take notes the entire time in lecture. 2. She does grade kinda hard. 3. She is the best history teacher I have ever had. She is very animated and she really loves history. You become happy because she is happy. I have enjoyed this class.

I was disappointed by this class. I'm a history major, but it was boring, very much like a survey course. We didn't seem to go into detail about anything, and I can't say I learned much. Plus, she graded waaay too hard. I spent a full 50 minutes writing an essay and she wrote that it wasn't "detailed" enough! Still, she's quite nice.

her lectures are hilarious and sometimes even memorable. Her midterm and finals are straightforward and easy to study for. She is a delight to talk to and to get to know. I would recommend her class to anyone.
