Get ready to be a people pleaser, because you aren't going to learn in this class. You are risking an extremely heavy price for signing up and going into that office. I certainly did not get Cristina, or whatever she was "demonstrating" during office hours. Pathetic class.

Go to her office hours!!! Suarez isn't the clearest lecturer in the world but will always stop to clarify if anyone is confused. Tests are hard but not as hard as others in the department. Assigns the most reasonable amount of work out of the professors who teach 111. Great one on one in office hours and will work patiently but not condescendingly.

If you must take chem, take it with Suarez. She's an engaging lecturer and is great at reading the room and explaining things a different way if the class seems confused. Lots of extra study opportunities. Tests are HARD and I nearly failed but that was due entirely to my own idiocy, and I felt like Prof. Suarez was still invested in my success.

I took P. Chem 2 with Cristina. The experience was disgusting. Interrogated me before getting to work on a semester long bullying session. She referred to me as "one of you" upon introduction as my "preferred" pronoun, and other students as "professional students." Office hours, as I went into shock I was told,"Go home and watch Sesame Street."

Professor Suarez made learning about chemistry fun and interesting (she even made me consider majoring in chem). At times her wording in daily problems can be confusing and her tests are difficult, but manageable. She is willing to help: go to her office hours, even if you do not need help. I will definitely miss not having her as my professor.

Her lectures can be a bit confusing, exams are pretty long, and take home quizzes are extremely difficult. But if you go to her office hours she is extremely helpful. She even takes the time out to make appointments with you if you can't attend office hours.

Suarez is the sweetest professor I've ever have. She is always helpful and willing to answer questions patiently even if you ask her over and over again. She is also hilarious in her lectures and labs. Homework is not much, she is pretty loose on it.

Prof. Suarez is a very nice person, and pretty good about explaining things, but her class was a bad experience for me. She never once answered any of my questions when I had my hand raised and rarely went over work in class; she clearly expects people to work hard at understanding the material outside of class, and I got burned for not doing that.

Suarez is an excellent professor. She really works to make you understand the material intuitively in her lectures, and she's funny into the bargain. She expects you to have completely internalized the material for a test, which makes her a bit harder than some of the other chem professors, but if you continue with chem, this is an advantage.

Professor Suarez is one of the best teachers that I have ever had. She is charasmatic and interesting. She is willing to help and explain something over and over if you ask. She definitely challenges you, but if you take advantage of the help and pay attention to what she says, you will do well. I have such a good understanding of chemistry now.

she's funny, entertaining, and very knowledgeable when it comes to p-chem. Her explanations are so clear, you barely have to know chemistry to take p-chem for biochem! After taking her pchem for biochem class i tutored a friend at Hamilton in p-chem who finished top of her class, that's how clear suarez is ... and she's hott!

I LOVED this professor. She expects you to know the information back and front for the exams (which were tough), but she is one of the nicest, most helpful professesors that I had. She made chem interesting and had a sense of humor to boot.

She's absolutely the sweetest, most wonderful professor I've ever had. She's extremely available, and is willing to answer the most mundane questions patiently. She expects a lot, but she's willing to give a lot too, you just have to ask. She is absolutely fabulous. I can't say enough about her.

Professor Suarez is awesome! She makes herself so available for extra help. It is definitely a challenging class as she expects a lot of us on our own; however, I have learned so much. She has made the class fun and interesting.

Here's the deal: Suarez is a VERY nice, helpful, & funny prof. She is not however, the best. Tests and quizzes are graded very hard, and about 70% of the test is predictable. She rarely gives homework, or classwork, and so we don't get enough practice- which is the downfall. This class is killing me b/c of tests and quizzes, but I still LOVE her
