Comment:
Just no. Squire's would read word for word off slides (VERY disorganized) Often times he would give conflicting information between readings and lectures, his exams and lectures were littered with major, Blatant errors (some never addressed), the exams were overly nuanced and difficult (errors aside), + so many problems i can't fit in 350 char.

Awesome professor. Class was sparsely attended because he podcasts but I'd advise actually coming to class. Very straightforward exams. Midterm, final, 7 quizzes (2 dropped & you get 2 tries for each), plus two assignments which are easy. Learned a lot about ocean resource management & conservation. Definitely take his class.

HE ALLOWS CHEAT SHEET FOR ECON 145 BUT NOT 144, WHAT A JOKE? IT IS SUPER UNFAIR, AVOID AT ALL COST IF YOU WANNA GET AN A.

Cool professor and an easy class. The midterm was easy and got a 95% on it, while the final was extremely difficult compared to the previous years. He asked for a lot of stuff that he barely went over in class, but it was graded on a huge curve so did end up with an A-. Regardless, I still recommend taking him. Easier than other econ electives.

Lots of reading, material is interesting but some times he can be hard to understand. Always go to his office hours before midterm and final, those are the most helpful since he would answer your questions more specifically. I didn't try very hard in his class only go to review and go to his last office hours before exam and got an A+.

Nice professor. Really cares about his subject. Class does not seem too difficult & exams do not seem too difficult. Only problem is he is hard to understand during lectures.

Cool teacher. Tests are pretty clear-cut. No need to write long paragraphs but instead give a direct answer. Classes are boring so maybe listen to his podcasts. Material is interesting...and yeah

Easiest class I've ever taken, including community college. Not to say you won't learn a great deal and the material is pretty interesting. Survive the first few lectures and then enjoy looking at case studies on tigers and rhinos. Lots of reading assigned, but only read the articles he hypes a lot. Got an A by attending all review sessions.

Interesting and the most easiest class I have ever take. No textbook needed, but lot of materials to read. easy final, midterm is ok. Review sections before exams are important, he will tell to what are important. I haven't read any articles he assignned, just did what he told in review sections and went through the lecture notes once, and I got A-.

harder than expected but interesting. take this class only if you are interested in the topic. some people take it just because it is 'easy' but it really isn't unless you go to class and do the readings.

This is a great econ elective. It is a different view on econ, not demanding, not hard, straight forward, and actually interesting in sort of a political science/oceanography meets econ sort of way. Not the most useful material, but a nice change from all of the micro or macroeconomic analysis and computation

Person below me obviously failed this class. I must admit, it's really interesting stuff. One of the more "fun" econ classes. The material is easy and the prof. is great. Tests are fair but the TAs grade very meticulously. Final was easy. Go over ALL Lectures and make sure you understand them. Readings help too. I loved this class :)
