Dr. Z is very chill. He takes a participation grade daily, but its very easy. You aren't graded on correctness (for classwork or homework), as long as you do it you get full credit. The material itself is complex, but he does really well at explaining it and providing examples. I'm taking his ethics class next semester!

The first thing you should expect going into a philosophy class for the first time is that it will not be easy; it's like not learning any math until college. Dr. Zelinski does an excellent job helping students navigate the huge amount of material and offers lots of easy extra credit, but you still have to put in work&effort to learn the material.

Maybe the worst professor I've had. Expected us to sift through insane amounts of disorganized material. Instructions for big assignments were spread over multiple documents that sometimes contradicted each other. Assignments took MONTHS to be graded. It didn't feel like he was really guiding the class; more like he just liked to hear himself talk.

Everything is very fast paced. Definitely do the extra credit because you will need it. Do ALL of the worksheets he assigns in class and make sure they are detailed because he gives open note tests. Also, please, read the book. If you don't you'll have no clue what he is talking about. Check out quilts as well they helped me a lot too.

Teaching style was very odd. Didn't really go into detail about anything. Just kept repeating the same stuff every lecture and none of it was on tests or quizzes.

Expects you to learn the material on your own. Originally a philosophy instructor. Very fast paced and seems as if he doesn't know what hes talking about half the time. Wants students to succeed but has a really weird way of showing it. Eager to help with 'office hours'

Very nice professor, he does his best to help you pass, pretty easier grader online, only 2 test which are open notes, but are very challenging, so print the power points, and take good notes, he does offer a lot of extra credit, which helps save your grade, and he does take attendance so don't miss too many of his classes.

He will help you when you ask for it, but the help isn't helpful. He just rambles around your question without specifically giving a straight answer to it. For example, I asked why answer A was incorrect and B was correct. He took 10-15 minutes explaining a theory and never conclusively gave me an answer. All his explanation did was confuse me.010

Dr. Z, to put it quite frankly, is the best teacher of all my teachers... EVER. I started the class with a 60 something. I just ended with it with a bright, shinning A baby! Writing skills is a must, if they're lacking he provides workshops. The tests are on power points accessible on blackboard 247. The book is available for $0 at the library.

He is a nice person but awful professor. he isnt clear. im no stranger to hard work for a good grade but he really makes it pointless. i asked him for help on all assignments and he still gave me Cs after following his advice. he also has millions of power points that you need to copy. test are open notes so copy the slides on blackboard.

Okay, so, seriously, he makes no sense. Ever. Have him right now, but he rambles on for the entire class, always goes over the time limit, and is really relaxed. That'd be perfectly find if he had relaxed homework and tests and all that, but no the stuff is really hard. And you can't email him questions, because he usually just turns it around.

Tests/Quizzes are open notes, so be sure to take good notes. Definitely print the powerpoint slides and bring them to lecture with you so you can just take notes right there on the slides. HUGE overuse of blackboard. very nice teacher, confusing at times. do the reading, read over your notes, put effort into your work and you'll get a B

He is the worst professor I have ever had. He has thousands of powerpoints on Blackboard that you pretty much have to teach yourself about. He rambles on the entire class and then loses his focus and begins talking about useless topics. All of his references are unfamiliar to most people.

One of the worst classes/professors I have ever taken! I put in A LOT of time and effort into this class and studied my butt off, but it doesn't help when your professor is terrible. He is BEYOND confusing and contradicts himself a lot.
