I've had her for two semesters... She's an awesome teacher, but she takes litterally months to grade your submissions. I had two assignments waiting to be graded for over a month. She's always calling out too. Other than that... She's cool. Laid back

Prof Danford is the best! She makes class time a mix of going over new material and working with your classmates. Very laid back, funny, and understanding. We did a total of 4 speeches over the semester of varying lengths and intensities. Grades fairly and gives good feedback to improve.

Danford is great. Pay attention, participate, and finish your assignment on time. Very good with responding to students and is easy going. Public speaking can be hard and she doesn't make it any harder on you. 11/10 would take again

She was very understanding when I had a family emergency in the middle of class before a speech and froze. Try not to miss speech night, but if you do, you can make it up on the last class. The "homework" can be verbatim from the textbook.

I was terrified going into this class (public speaking,) but Professor Danford made me feel extremely comfortable. She was extremely available and I came to see her in her office before each speech so she could give me feedback. It really helped reassure me that I'd achieve a good grade. She was funny and lenient. Would take again!

This was the best class I ever taken at DCCC. The way she made the people in the class feel like family is amazing. Everyone talks to everyone. Which made giving the speech easier. She did this on purpose but you have take the class to find out. :-) She does grade pretty strict, So practice your speech. The class was very enjoyable.

Professor Alice aka Deise is entertaining and engages with the students on their level, she's 50 yet jokes, cursces , lets us call her by first name . she lives vicariously thru students ages 17-27 who get A's in her class if they make her feel cool, and young . No disipline & hates questions . Make her feel accepted & mention motercylce , A

Her assignments are not clear and she is pretty disorganized, but she was helpful when you asked for it. She seems like she doesn't care, and doesn't actually do much teaching. We watched movies and did assignments on them in groups, so if you get a bad group it's pretty hard to pass

This was a small group comm course. She gave us groups early on, and we worked with the same people all semester so if you got a bad group you may not do well. We watched 2 movies and were given questions to answer with our groups in the form of a paper. She didn't teach anything, but any questions we had were answered if asked.

I have taken Danford 3 times. The first 2 were ok, but this last semester for small group was HORRIFIC. She was either late or didnt show up to class, then when she was there, she would leave to go to her office instead of stay in the class incase any of our groups had a question. she was unorganized and didnt seem to care.

Comment:

Professor Danford is a nice person. She gives a lot of homework that is time consuming, but easy. She clearly communicates what it is you need to know for the tests. I really got to know my fellow students in the class. I thought the class was sort of stupid though, but it is a requirement for my degree. Recommend her if you have to take COMM.
