He's super helpful, drops lowest test score. Presentation and Lab grade greatly boost overall grade! He's flexible with turning in late lab notebooks and no text book he uses websites to save his students money!!!!

Dr.Whitkus is super helpful! Lab a little boring but he's enthusiasm makes it Fun! He puts lectures on line and uses website to help save money on text book! plus drops lowest test score to help boost grade...He's a GEM!

Comment:

He was a much better teacher than Bright(who lectured for the first few weeks of my clas) He understood what he was teaching, he made us all print out a copy of the notes with fill-in-the blanks to take our lecture note on, which was annoying at forst but very helpful later on. The quizes are all on-line, and very easy & u have a week to complete.

Comment:

Some bio profs are into their research, but not into teaching. Rich is a teacher first; always available to answer student questions and help both inside and outside office hours. Those who rate him poorly weren't paying attention. Probably whining cry-babies who deserve the bad grades they earned! Biology is hard work.

His name says it all...Dick. The guy does not know how to teach, he is arrogant and brings the entire staff at SSU down. Do not take his classes. He thinks he is funny...but he is not. Quizzes and tests are IMPOSSIBLE. Take the class at a CCC...I failed his class and will do that. He is an ****.

I thought this class was sooo boring. He is a nice guy who tries to make learing fun, but for me it just didn't work. I would recomend taking a class from a teacher with a good review rather than this one. He is not easy, if your not into Biology.

I loved Whitkus. He was interactive and funny. Any guy who drinks bleach during his lecture and eats dog bones is great! His tests are hard but all of them are multiple choice and straight from the lecture.

I LOVE THIS GUY! Ok, so I didn't walk away from the class any more educated than when I walked in, but I passed! And in a BIO115 class, what more can you ask for? He's a nice person and I thought he had some funny jokes. (Tests = multi choice!)

This Jerry Seinfeld look-a-like clown thinks hes on SNL. You learn as much about BIO in his class as u did in your mothers stomach. He waves his stick like hes Moses trying to get water froms triking rocks and he stinks like garbage. Whitkus is horrible.
