There's 2 midterms and a final. 1 easy group project. My tip for this class, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE TERMS. She'll give you handouts with details. The HW is a preview of the tests. However HW is not mandatory. My annoyance is this, 3 hr class and no break. If it wasn't for the comp I would fall asleep. She's nice but there's really no interaction.

Really a boring class. She doesnt have any lectures. She just gives out handouts and starts going through them. Kind of confusing. Her tests are fair and shes a fair grader too.

This class seems really intimidation the first day but in reality she's an easy grader and a fair tester. Also one of the nicest instructors you will ever meet. Study the handouts and learn how to use report wizard in access and you will be fine. Not the greatest lecturer in the world so expect to put the work in on your own time.

Good luck with the class! She goes by her notes to teach the class otherwise she doesn't know what she's doing. What kind of a teacher is that! That ain't a teacher! Do all the work and be prepare ahead of time for all the exams. Study hard!

I've taken 2 of Dr. Driscoll's classes back between 1998-2000 and she's very fair, concise and approachable instructor. She's not going to do everything for you, you have to meet her halfway and to do that you've got to follow with the course. If you want a good thorough understanding of the subject (esp. for IS majors) she's the best professor to have -- the training will be worth it after graduation. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Dr. Driscoll is fair. One of the nicest and approachable instructors I've had. Show up for class. Lecture seems simple, but be prepared on midterms and final - very challenging. Know HTML, SQL, PHP, Relational Data Model, and Normalization! Start project asap - if assigned individually, DON'T CHEAT, or you will fail the class. Good luck.

I disagreed with most of the comments on here. Tests are hard: fills in & multiple choice, excel/database/html; are all advanced stuff, difficult for a person w/no knowledge of computers to learn. Won't prepare you for the exams.

She's a good teacher. Her explanations in class are easy, but her test material is VERY HARD. You really have to know the concepts on her handouts if you want an "A" in her class. She's very boring, but make sure you pay attention. Good luck!

She is the best. You learn on the fly. No stupid and annoying group projects. She goes through material really fast, so DO NOT miss any lecture. Read before you go to the class! Very nice person. You can also ask questions about dept. - she is the chair.
