Comment:

The best professor you can ever have. Extremely knowledgeable. Her class is never boring. She knows so many little facts relating to what you are studying. It's almost like she's a gossip columnisg. She's also very fair and very helpful. She's always willing to help you and is accessible.

She might not know everything but she sure knows a lot. She is down to earth and smart. She loves what she is doing and makes it easy and attaches mythology to all literature. She gives lots of reading assignments, and she is there for students all of the time. When she is in the cafateria, she is holding forth for past and current students.

Professor is rude, unprofessional, and not at all helpful. She can act like such a nice person one minute, then turn nasty the next. She does not extend help beyond the classroom although she claims to do so. I regret taking her class and would highly recommend students avoid her at all costs.

Moody lady, does not appreciate dissenting viewpoints. She asks questions, but shoots you down immediately. Our grad class is generally pretty quiet now as she has made it clear she only wishes to hear her own voice and lectures during the entire period. The books we read are interesting as are her viewpoints, but open dialogue is not encouraged.

Prof Vighetti should teach every entering freshman. She opens your eyes to the fact that nothing is new anymore-everything is a reference from something before it. She is funny and so damn smart! She will get you to critically think so much when you see and read things, you can't help but want to learn more. She's wonderful

I don't think I'd go so far as to call her fair, as she is very moody. Not bad over all, but certainly not great. She plays to favorites so watch out if you don't kiss her butt appropriately. Best if you stay off her radar.

Comment:

Behind a crochety exterior lies on of the sweetest and kindest women in the world. Prof. Vighetti is tough no doubt, but there is no one more fiar than her. She has a sense of humorthat leaves you in stitches and is as sharp as a tack. Brooklyn college needs more like her. She made this class awesome. A great teacher, a great lady.

She is like a mother eagle. She teaches her babies about what it takes to be a good college student, the workload is much. At year's end, she pushes you out of the nest and you soar, if youv'e really applied yourself to higher learning!

I love, love, love her. She is awesome. If you have any interest in Children's Literature, take it while you can (she keeps threatening not to teach it anymore). Her class on Myths and Symbols is also amazing. The workload is average for grad. classes.

I had to drop her b/c he gave way tooo much work, trust me i havent seen this much work even in a grad class, and she gave soo much work in a an undergrad class. She also said various and nasty things about ppl of diff nationalities, if you take her you will regret it.

Comment:

Nancy is without a doubt one of the last great professors. Providing a challenging approach to literature, she proved to be tough yet rewarding. If the Good Lord's willing, I'll experience more teachers like her.

At first I thought she was crazy - she is tough on attendance, takes roll every class and marks down even for being late...But, she is a great lady, willing to help always, and in the end, was very reasonable on the grade! Highly recommend her!
