Comment:

Great teacher, but fakes sick or cancels a lot of classes. Rushes through the material as well. Tests are online and pretty easy if you have the book. One 3-5 page paper, 4 tests, each with a 1 page writing assignment. Drops one test and one writing assignment.

Comment:

I basically taught myself this course. She was vacant for the whole 3 weeks during the accelerated course. If she teaches her other courses the way she taught the course I took with her, then she's at risk of losing her position at CCSU. I earned a 98% and she gave me an A-, I had to email her to fix it. Mistakes like that are no good!

Prof. doesn't answer emails. Requirements for assignments are vague. Tests aren't too hard. She was basically vacant during the 3 week online summer course, few announcements and very little communication. It's a shame to know some instructors get away with this level of effort. I wouldn't get in A if I did the equivalent effort for my assignments.

Comment:

A lot of material is covered but if you read the book, and take good notes, you can do well. Tests are curved, and homework consists of 9 or so assignments based on film clips or concepts from the book; relatively easy if you put in a couple hours of work. Exams aren't cumulative, which is good because there's too much material to retain it all.

Prof. Sims is a decent professor. You will learn a lot about business law in this class. The exams are extremely difficult, but she does curve because some of the questions are ridiculously hard. You should do fine if you attend this class regularly.

I loved her! She was funny and engaging. She wanted her students to do good and she drops a lot of homework and we only had to take 3/4 exams. Definitely take her.

Comment:

5 tests, all very hard, 5 homework assignments, not bad, 1 final paper not awful. She is very intelligent and definitely knows what she is talking about. Very nice woman, good sense of humor! I would recommend her and take her again.

She keeps classes pretty interesting and short. Four exams, only three count, she drops the lowest and lets you skip the final if you want. 11 HW assignments but only counts the 8 highest. She likes her students to do well, so she curves all the exams a lot. Nice lady, fairly easy, and I still learned a lot.

Prof Sims was the best prof I've had at Central so far. Lectures are easy to get through, she keeps you engaged, and they're actually pretty fun (as much as a lecture can be). If you have to take a Law class, take it with her!

Comment:

Fairly easy class. Five tests, lowest grade dropped, and one research paper. Professor does take attendance and lectures can be boring. I would recommend taking this class.

This is a great class to take. Its easy as long as you show up to class and do the homeworks. there are 4 exams and she drops the lowest grade, and there are 10 homework assignments and you only need to do 8. Sims is one of the best teachers Ive had and her love for law makes the class really enjoyable.

Fairly easy class as long as you dont mid a few HW assignments. Doo the homework and study for the exams and youll Ace the class. Shes nice, and shes very clear about what she wants. Exams are pretty easy, Mult choice, and she drops the lowest. Good prof.

Professor Sims is exactly who you need for this course. She understands the subject very well and presents it very clearly. I learned a lot in this class without even realizing it. Grades much easier than average. To top it off she's also a very nice person and cares whether you learn. PERFECT!!

Great professor and very professional. Knows a lot about the subject matter cuz she's an actual civil lawyer! You better go to class if you want a good grade cuz attendance is taken every class. Reading the book is essential to passing the class, too. Drops the lowest test grade which is very fair.

Prof. Sims is into what she teaches.Grades based on HW assignments (drops 2) and 4 exams (drops 1). Make sure to read chapters and be prepared to answer questions b/c she calls on people in alphabetical order. Explains very clearly and is a pretty nice lady. Recommendable!

She is very clear in class, but when it comes to the test, she doesn't actually write them so the tests can be extremely tricky. She usually curves the tests so that the mean grade is at least a B
