Honestly a great guy and super organized. Grade is basically dependent on discussion posts and quizzes, and there are also two papers. (I would have gotten an A if I actually did my discussion posts on time, so do that lol)

Although he is kind of a tough grader, he is a great professor. Everything is laid out on canvas and clear instructions of what he is looking for. He allows 2 or 3 attempts for each quiz and the rest of the class are discussions. I wish more professors were as organized as him!

He is a very well-educated professor who LOVES to think critically. We use an online free textbook along with other texts he will provide. No tests, but there is a seminar paper every month. VERY FEW students take advantage of his office hours. He is very understanding and is eager to discuss topics with classmates during class.

an ok professor. a lot of discussion posts, 3 quizzes, 2 writing assignments, usually no extra credit. takes a while to grade stuff. for each chapter, you have to watch a couple of lecture videos and video segments. if you aren't specific in writing, you'll get points off. only got an A because he gave us extra credit because of COVID.

I took professor Hashima for HIST 325. We were transition to online class during CO-vid. He outlined all the assignments that needed to be turned in and It was pretty easy to follow. Get ready to read & answer a lot of entrance questions. If you communicate in advance with him, he is more than willing to accommodate you with late submission.

Hashima is very hard to follow. He also does not use canvas properly so you dont have a clear picture of whats to come. Its kind of a mystery I guess. Some weeks you will have assignments and some weeks you will not so his grading is also a mystery. He takes a while to grade assignments & respond back to students as well.

I took this class online and it was actually really bad. He is hard grading and strict. Anything that I submitted back he would always gave me the lower grade even though I kew all my work was right and from the book. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR TO ANYBODY.

He's nice but can be stern at times. You can pass his classes without reading the textbook, but still have one because his online essay assignments use it. Don't use your phone in his class, he gets very upset.

Unbelievably flexible. students take advantage of him. Did not have to buy a book however there was a lot of online reading. He can tell if you've read or not, but is understanding. All essay assignments, so it is a class for readers and writers.

One of the worst professors I've had. Doesn't have a clear grading rubric and is a tough grader. Nitpicks every detail. Also has this annoying manner of lecture, he always has this weird smile on his face and talks in the same tone. Would not take again, personality is dry and lecture are onesided and boring.

I have been in community college for 2 years, and this is my last semester before transferring. But this class is the one I learned the most in. Hashima is a really great teacher. He actually cares and is passionate about what he is teaching, and that makes the class more engaged. He is understanding in regard to life issues as well.

He makes you work for the grade! He is professional and expects you to participate at some point at minimum. He knows ALOT about the history of the early Americas + Mid east, Europe and African history! He is knowledgeable and NOT just reciting facts. There are 7 assignment that have specific essay prompts! BE SUPER SPECIFIC OR YOU"LL GET a C, maybe

Halfway through the semester he kind of stopped caring; discarded class schedule. Still learned a lot, the class is always a seminar with the occasional video. Our grade was based off of our essays officially, although I think in the end he based it on our attendance, character, and personal knowledge of the topic bc I didn't sub 1 essay, got A.

Tough Grader, plain and simple. He is an alright instructor, i did learn in his class, but most lectures are not relevant to exams. He shows a lot of videos and makes them available to us online. Exams are essays. There are 3 exams and 4 assignments. Making it quite hard to get the A. He wants super specific detail. 88 on all my exams. . .

Very hard class. There are only 4 assignments and 3 exams in this class. The exams consists of 2 essays with 1.5 hours to complete them. He wants a strong thesis for each essay. Lectures can be all over the place compared to the assignment and exam content, but i feel he does provide great context of US history. For an A, look elswhere

Come to class prepared and ready to take notes. Beginning of class gives outline of discussion for the day and expects class participation. 4 assignments (due online) and 4 midterms (in class essay), each of which professor thoroughly reviews in class prior to due date. Pay attention and ask if you need clarity.

Lectures are all over the place (jumps in between slides) and you can't get any good notes from his lectures. Attend class but read the textbook in order to be successful. If your writing skills are poor, don't take the class. Rarely replied to emails. Class consists of 4 writing assignments and 3 in-class essays. 1 extra credit opportunity given.

Verrrrrry Hard Professor. Would not recommend him to anyone. Gives 2 essays to write under 1 hour and 30 min. If you ask for help he explains it in a way where its still so hard to understand him!!!!

Very Intelegent and a super nice guy, but not the best professor. As long as you read and do the few assignments he has, you will pass.
