Professor Gold is a really great instructor who values her students, is always prepared, and makes her expectations clear. The class is hard, but she makes it bearable.

If you go in to talk to her and put a little time into the class it is not difficult. She provides an abundant amount of help, all you have to do is ask. The course book is not required what so ever but the course pack is essential.

Comment:

Gives fantastic feedback but her handwritten comments have atrocious penmanship. The class is not hard, a few papers and two presentations, you just need to put in *some* effort. The course packet is essential to the course but the other book she "requires" you get are for reading assignments that are completely non-essential. Her lecturing is a C.

She puts an incredible amount of time into her students work and if you listen to her it really pays off and you see your grade go up. She is very friendly and makes you have meetings with her to edit your papers, which is actually really helpful. Very good professor and she's part of the communications certificate board so always a good contact!

Great teacher! does a great job reviewing papers but its hard to read her handwriting so dont be afraid to ask what she means. O and read all of her emails they are long but important

As stated in other reviews, Prof Gold is very caring and invested in teaching. However, the structure of the class is sometimes lacking, and she likes to put people on the spot in class. Class can drag on and become boring, but she is very nice.

She is pretty nice, I will give her that. It really doesn't seem fair that our EPD 155 section had to work 5 times as hard as the other sections. She expects perfection, and you better give it to her. The purchase of the course packet was worthless, as is the writer's handbook. Expect to be bombarded by daily e-mails about what you covered in class

Prof. Gold is GREAT. She is VERY HELPFUL and puts a lot of time and energy into preparing for her class and giving you constructive criticism on your writing. Many people like to say that she's a lot of work, which is true, but it is all VERY BENEFICIAL and none of it is busy work. Don't be afraid of the "work"; you'll come out a better writer.

Gold is a very caring teacher. She spends a huge amount of time on reading her students papers and offering comments for revisions. The catch is that she expects you to do the same. She is very demanding of her students. She is very nice, however, and offers extensions on papers that help you put the extra effort in that she wants.

Prof. Gold is a very VERY nice person. She's very considerate when you have a conflict or need any help. She is a very difficult teacher and engineers normally don't like to write so it was a very tough class. This class with her definitely needs to be worth more credits because there is ALOT of work. She is a good teacher but lots of work!

good but tough professor, she expects a lot but also gives a lot in return, she puts a huge amount of time into her teaching. The class should probably be worth a few more credits, but you get a lot out of it, she really challenges you and makes you a better writer, I recommend her.

I firmly believe people that took Elise for EPD 155 should have some kind of mark on their transcripts....def harder than any other EPD 155 teacher, but if you work hard and complete papers other than the night before you will be rewarded in the end...I mean look at me, my sentence structure is horrible and I got

If your an english major this class might be fun. But seeing as the class description means its all engineers who couldn't give a **** about writing, this class is straight up rediculous. and this isn't just random complaining you see with any teach. it honestly is 5 credits worth of work, and 3 times more then any other EPD 155 class.
