Comment:

Goodman actually teaches you. Instead of regurgitating useless stuff he sets you up to be able to solve harder questions. If you are the type of student who sits in the back of class texting and barely paying attention this guy is not for you. If you care about your grade and care about learning then take this class.

Goodman is actually the worst thing that has ever happened to me. He was a horrible teacher and beyond useless! He never reviewed for exams and the day before the exam would teach a brand new topic! He was boring and did not know how to teach, honestly would not recommend and this is speaking from multiple people who failed his class not just me.

Definitely take Professor Goodman. Have him for calc 1 and went from a C- in high school to an A at NJIT. He wants his students to do well and it's very easy to tell that when he answers questions and speaks to the class. His lectures aren't perfect because he stands in front of what he's writing, but I would definitely recommend him for calc 1.

Comment:

The best professor I have ever had at NJIT. Goodman is a Mathematician and Teacher of extraordinary caliber. Ask and he will tell you how linear algebra is the brick and mortar to all of modern applied math and algorithms. Took him in Spring '12, and the he changed my perspective forever. 1010 would recommend.

I dont know why everyone is so down on prof Goodman, hes a great teacher. He is really fair and knows his stuff, I learned a lot for him. Half my class dropped out, but that was because they failed the first common and didnt care. He is a very fair grader and a really nice guy. He will make time for you if you need it. Not the best but DEFINITELY not the worst. He notices confused faces and repeats things when necessary. The best thing is he does not repeat it the same way like most professors. He says it in different words making it clear. You will have to do a lot of work as he moves fast but it is worth it because you get a lot from the class.

This professor should be fired. He just jumps all over the place. Does not stop to answer question. Always rushes thorough the material. Very confusing and ALWAYS MAKES MISTAKES AND SPENDS MASSIVE TIME FIXING IT. Worst professor I ever had. NEVER TAKE HIM
