Ellen is such a great teacher! Ive had her for all of my art classes. she really shows her passion for art when she teaches, and is really inspirational. She has a really good eye for art. make sure you are always on time, listening when she is speaking and finishing your projects. Her classes are always fun, especially with the music she plays!

I adore Ellen! She is the sweetest lady & an absolutely incredible artist. She really knows what she's doing & is always willing to help. I've taken Art Appreciation & Watercolor 1 with her & she has made me fall in love with art! She's strict about being in class every week and on time, but it's an easy A as long as you show you've worked hard

Thank goodness for Art Ed with Ellen!I loved the course when I took it,and am finding a deeper value now,as I work directly with young children.Ellen taught us the value of the process, rather than the product,and also ways that we could integrate art into a variety of content areas in educating young children.I consider her an expert and a mentor.

HATED THIS TEACHER! Did not teach anything about teaching art... I took ART 113 which was supposed to be elementary school art and learned nothing about teaching. The supplies was also super expensive.

Ellen has helped guide me in my art immensely, she got me started using watercolors, something i dreaded before her class, and now it is one of the art forms i would consider myself most adept at. she is one of the reasons i am an art major now. really one of the nicest ladies ive ever learned from.

She's a very nice professor. projects are assigned are every week. I took her beginning drawing class. The only way you get help is by calling her over and rarely gives instruction on how to draw. It's mostly a figure out yourself type of class. Learned alot from asking otherwise I wouldn't have passed. Overall, it was okay.

Ellen was an amazing teacher. She's very thoughtful and helpful whenever she can be. She doesn't expect anyone to produce a Van Gogh, just to do their best to try and improve on the skills they already have. Looking into taking other classes with this professor!

Ellen is very nice and helpful. A great class for beginning artists as well as more experienced artists. If you complete the assignments and come to class you will get an A. Your skill level is irrelevant. She is very helpful & encouraging. The class is very laid back and you have the whole period to work on your drawings. No lecture. Great class.

I took my first drawing class with Ellen and she encouraged all students to improve their skills at whatever level they came in with. Also, we did not have to draw the same dusty still life over and over, each subject was our choice and toward the end we were able to pick personal, meaningful things to draw and combine techniques that we learned.

I didn't like this class very much. This is an art education class for teachers. We didn't even due stuff I would consider using for my future students. Be prepared to spend money on materials. We never even used the book. This class was more of a drawing class. She always def has her favories in the class. Wasn't fond of that either.
