By far the best teacher I have ever had! I hated BIO and only took it for my GED but came out with tons of knowledge and a new found passion for environmental science. I hate biology and had to take it for general ed, but I was pleased with this teacher. Her lectures were long, but she made a subject that I had trouble with seem very simple. She was very nice, and funny, but she was very dedicated to her subject. From a non-biology major point of view, I thought she was great.

She was very nice! A little wierd, but still very smart. She knew her stuff. I recommend to read the book and do flash cards because they really helped. I do recommend the class.

I absolutely loved Prof. Catanese! She uses well organized powerpoints that give you the answers to the tests. She is always open to discussion and encourages questions and peer teaching. She is very thorough, fair and fun. No HW except for flash cards and 2 current events. Wonderful person and a teaching delight!

Very easy class - no homework, tests are easy if you look over the powerpoint. Great class if you need to get any pre-reqs out of the way. She is not that organized and she miss a lot of class that we had to make up, but not hard.

Easiest class I had this semester. If you get the lecture notes of Blackboard or just write them down in class, you'll get an easy A. Papers were cake. She can tend to get annoying though, so I don't recommend taking her for a 3-hour class!

the class is interesting (of course, it's human sexuality).. she had a lot of family trouble this semester, so we got kinda behind..but she is an awesome lady..very open and willing to discuss anything..everything is from powerpoint, which can get boring..but i liked the class and i actually learned something, unlike friends who took it from others

Gives Powerpoint lecture for each chapter straight from the book, makes you peer teach which is crap because no one does it. She gives easy points like note cards which you can't use on the test, and current event assignments. She also gives out some extra credit at the end. Tests look foreign after going over notes from class.

Class only consists of taking notes and then being lectured on study habits. Also, study cards must be turned in on day of exam, and there are also a couple current event assignments. She is pretty clear in her lectures, but if you don't like Biology, the class might be hard to follow.

Very hard...We are not Bio majors and the test were the hardest things ever. Plan on studying everyday to stay caught up in this class. The papers are the only interesting thing in this class.

She doesn't start off very nice. She has organized lectures, but the book helps clarify what she does not. Later on in the semester she looses her hard-coreness. Her lectures are fun to listen to and she seems to enjoy what she talks about. Warning-don't plan to NOT study.
