Comment:

Tough material, but his classes are nearly absurdly in favour of the students and he's incredibly forgiving or understanding if you need something odd. Expect to learn and be exposed to a substantial amount of incredibly interesting material. Expect an understudy sort of relationship rather than the usual 'go to class, receive lecture' style.

Professor Cook is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. one of the main reasons I came to trinity was his awesome lecture. If you take any of his HUMA or classics courses you wont regret it. He will make you think and probably blow your mind every day. Cool huy.

Class was interesting, but he can blow completely over your head if you're not careful, as he is absolutely brilliant. He doesn't make you feel incompetent, rather you admire his knowledge. He's kind of awkward in a very cute/funny way and is very interesting to watch. He wants his students to do well, and will help you in any way he can. Take him!

He made a graduate level course fun, interesting and relevant. Even if my brain imploded throughout the course, it was well worth taking and I would happily take it again. A great teacher who wants to see you succeed. Any class you take with him will you always benefit you in the long run.

Dr. Cook is extremely knowledgeable about his material, but not arrogant or condescending. A truly nice guy, kinda looks like a hobbit. Talking to him outside of class is like having a mini-class that is super interesting and really helpful. He wants you to do well, and will work to make sure you do. A little overworked, so grades take some time.:)

He is an extremely nice person, seriously. His seminars are quite free and fun. However, I still don't know what he wants, and he grades so hard - harder than all other HUMA professors. He is not very clear on what he wants, so take this course if you are interested in Greek Mythology, but don't take it if you want an A.

Professor Erwin is not only a great teacher, but a great person. He will do his best to make sure you understand the material and have every chance to improve and succeed. His seminar lectures are entertaining if you don't get tired of the random Greek references.

You will learn so much from him. His class was fun and he is so easy going. You have to work for an A but he does not want to fail his students. He is there to help and effort counts with him.
