her class is all over the place. extremely bias. its like she took 3 classes and attempted to make them one without cutting any material. very opinionated. difficult to listen to. DO NOT TAKE 3 HOUR CLASS

Drake has a poor layout of class info on BB. Hard to find materials.. does give study guides. But are ver poorly worded and is just general topics have to know everything. Just an all around poor teacher. Very nice lady.

terrible selection for map quiz, cant even read them. she talks at you does not teach. material for quizzes and test all over the place. very boring, hard to stay awake. i would suggest to find another professor.

Her quizzes are difficult; maps are almost unreadable. She's a hard grader, and doesn't seem to fully explain anything when asked a question. She's very critical & seems somewhat biased on certain topics. If you want to pass, read the textbook. However, I highly suggest not to take her class, unless you want your GPA to go down.

I took the class on political geography and recall a course on Model United Nations. I have to admit that I did not perform as best as I could have at the time, however since then I look back at this course as helping me much in my career as Global Business Development Director. Hence, it is not about the grade but the lessons learned!! Good Luck!

She sucks don't take her. She is extremely bias and she grades test extremely hard they are short answer and essay questions and she will give you a good grade if she agree with you ideas and if she doesn't good luck she will grade you horribly.

Straight A student and only passed with a C- in this class. She is an extreme liberal and a total feminist. She ONLY teaches her opinion, and expects you to repeat her opinion for the test or else you will fail. Do not take this professor.

Was the leading Prof. For the study abroad trip to Morocco. Very intense about her job. However, she will cut you down acadimically. Seems like the work prior to leaving nothing would satisfy her. Her critisim wasnt constructive. She was hard to please and rude at times during trip. only good thing is she wanted us to learn the most we could.

Dr. Drake was one of the professors on the study abroad trip to Morocco. This woman is INTENSE but we all learned a lot from the trip and survived living with her for two weeks. She was sweet at times, but everything was a learning experience and we were expected to take notes.

Yes, she might be hard, but too hard for a junior level class? No. She teaches you how to write a good arguement & to be clear on paper. If you did poor on the first test, she'll help you, but you have to help yourself first & realize that she doesn't "give-out" grades. You earn them. Pay attention in class & study for tests, you'll do fine!

I took this class a couple of semesters ago. Prof Drake was a very intense instructor. YOU HAVE TO STUDY!!! If you can avoid taking her I would highly suggest that. I am a Geography major and I found the class to be harder than some of the upper major courses I have taken. If this was her idea of intro I'd hate to see her idea of upper level class

I advise everyone, who has to take a Geography class, not to take her. She is an incredibly tough grader(everyone failed the first paper with the highest grade being a 60). Only the people really good at writing papers and taking tests are the ones who are passing. In short, the possibility of you getting out with a C is very slim.

it is not impossible to make an A in this class as some would have you believe, and it's not necessary to eat, sleep, and breathe geography to receive that A. i don't care for politics, but if you're of the right-leaning persuasion, then you might get peeved with her class. her lectures are interesting. pay attention to them!!!

Class starts 5 mins bf it's suppose to & ends 5-10 mins after its supposed to. Dont expect to have any dialogue, its her stage and theres no time for questions as the class is packed with so much info theres no time for anything else. Info ovrload. Dont leave early, youll be put on spot and asked why. Tedious assgnmnts & too serious for lwr level
