probably one of the most difficult classes I took at PSU. I am a native Spanish speaker and that makes this teacher to grade you even tougher! She doesn't take criticism good. Her methodology is very old school. It reminded me those very strict teachers from Catholic schools. Her quizzes are hard, she doesn't give enough time for them. Avoid her!

Comment:

I love Eva! I was super nervous coming into this class because of the small class size and because it was the one thing every Spanish major dreads-- the subjunctive. Eva is a tough grader but she knows her stuff, and really cares about each and every one of the students. This class will make you better at Spanish as long as you put in the effort!

Comment:

Not an easy class because the professor makes the information difficult to ascertain on purpose; I also found her to be condescending. She doesn't give enough time to complete exams or quizzes, and grades exceptionally harder the second half of the term. Avoid, if you can. If not, make sure to dedicate ample time to learn the material on your own.

Eva isn't an easy teacher; if that's what you're looking for, don't take her. She calls on people to read at random and also asks them for the exercise answers. Granted these are the homework problems, but she usually doesn't collect them so many people don't do them. They aren't super easy so it's important to do them ahead of time.

Eva is passionate about teaching, and her lectures are always fun and engaging. Her sense of humor really brightens up the class. She is always willing to help students understand the material, and offers great feedback. As long as you put in the work and make an honest effort, she will support you. Brilliant, kind, and beautiful.

With Eva, class is fun, informative, and entertaining. She's passionate about teaching and is very sweet, helpful and kind with everyone. She's obviously worked very hard to be where she is today and she expects the same from her students. You're not going to get some easy A in her class. Also, she is beautiful! I was in love right away! 100/100

Quality teacher! She doesn't waste time and makes class fun and active. Great for learning difficult concepts. Polite, respectful, and equally kind to everyone. Any student serious about SPANISH will appreciate her. Warning: It may be hard to pay attention in class... She is gorgeous and has the most beautiful smile... Absolutely STUNNING! 10/10

This is not an easy course, but it is incredibly pertinent if you're interested in teaching Spanish, like myself. She knows her stuff and you must stay on top of the work or you will not survive the class. If you're one of those students who has survived college so far on squeaking by, this course is not for you. But she is a fantastic profesor!

AMAZING! Not biased. Challenging but consistent. Open to everyone and treats everyone the same way. Clearly some people have had a rough time her but don't let that scare you. Sometimes people who get a lower grade than hoped take it out on the professor. Do your job and she'll do hers. Respect her and she'll respect you.

can't wait for this class to be over- lot of work, lot of information. not all clear, and this professor is not the easiest to follow. like some1 said, if you get behind, forget it. it's like math. and also, if the schedule changes, you are screwed. if you're good at being organized on your own, then don't worry- if not, don't do this class.

Hard class, tough to get an A, especially if you don't understand grammar well. Make sure your comprehension of Spanish is strong- this professor will only speak Spanish to you and expects all Spanish in class- she's native too, from Spain, but she's easy to understand. Not sure what my grade will be- still in it- but yeah, way easy on the eyes.

Can't say I agree with all the comments about her being **** or oblivious to the Latin Americans in class- I think these are your own issues about feeling inferior for whatever reason. I think she shows equal kindness toward everyone- she goes around trying to help anyone and she always makes her office hours clear. And yeah, she's way hot.

Hot!?! That's an understatement! She does know her stuff but if linguistics is not up your alley, don't try to get into it in Eva's class. It moves fast, and you have to grasp everything from the first day on. She's more than fair, and she's got a sweet, silly personality- and as already mentioned, total beauty!
