Comment:

Great professor. Makes you work hard, makes you use your brain and study and actually learn things. He's exceptionally knowledgeable in his area and wants you to use your true potential. Strict, yet fair. The other comments about him hating students and wanting to fail them is not true or fair to say at all. Those are the slackers talking.

Comment:

Very good teacher and patient. His lecture is helpful and he gives many materials to make you learn as much as possible. He gives his handouts every lecture. Although he is retired, he still teach enthusiastically. He likes to teach in 7:30 AM because he will put his neat notes on the board at the end of the day before the class. He is excellent!!

He is the best proff in the EE dept I wish all proffs were like him. People say he is hard and after seeing his ratings I was scared to take him. If you attend his classes and listen to his lectures carefully you can get a decent grade in this class. He explains all the concepts very clearly. If you do your hardwork you can get an A. IF you wanna learn Analog Circuits...Moustakas is your MAN!!!..This guy Can Teach for real!! unlike the rest of the morons. At times, he can be a hard ass, but it's only to make you learn the stuff. This class can be very easy if you learn and prepare well. Very clear on the lectures and emphasizes the critical points. Awesome professor!!

Do not take this guy. Very rude to student and unfair. If he does not like you, you will failed, period. Don't come to him for answer because he doesn't have any. Don't believe me? Go ahead give him a try. He hates student and would not put up with your "stupid" questions, expect you to know the book. Don't expect partial credit either.

Made a mistake by taking him. He's a good lecturer and that's it. Hard on grading even with correct answer and using the correct method, still no partial credit. He likes to degrade students. He will make you feel low and stupid. Unreasonable when talk to him about the test. Does not help you rather asked you to find the answer yourself.

My favorite prof so far. He gives you everything. No need to take notes, he will hand them out to you. Very clear. Examples always 100% relevant. What you see on the board and in homework is what you will get in the exam. He knows where students get confused and takes extra time. If you keep up you cannot fail. P.S. Know your Ohm's law, KCL etc.

Think Baby Think !! This guy knows Op-Amps and want his students to know it too. His lectures go very very fast with hardly much time spent on theory. I liked his exams; tests you not on doing long algebra's rather on very basic fundamentals which have to be mastered to succseed. Coming to class prepared will surely help.

Oh boy, this guy is a Nazzi. He hates students, hates himself, and hates life. He has some serious personality problems. Very discouraging. Hard grader, doesn't curve at all, and is looking to fail students all the time. He is the worst professor on the face of planet.

This prof was a jerk. He was a lab nazi. I hate this guy with a passion. Probably the worst instructor at SJSU. I was a CMPE student that had to take this teacher. Transfer out if you get him. By the way I got a B in his lab class.

This guy has some serious personality problem. He thinks that he is the greatest man in op amp. I think that the gravest crime to the students of EE174 is the fact that Moustaka's own manual is taught for the course. It is time for an updated book.
