Awang assigned us a four page essay that was due the day of our first class meeting of the semester. Let me repeat that: this woman assigned a FOUR PAGE ESSAY that was due BEFORE WE EVEN MET AS A CLASS at the start of the semester. Absolutely ridiculous.

Dr. Awang is great! One of the best professors at EKU. She loves her students and goes out of her way to help. She made the class fun and relevant to the business world. Very smart and dedicated professor!

Dr. Awang is very friendly and easy to speak to. She is willing to meet with you anytime during her office hours. However she doesnt clearly explain assignments well. I stayed very confused even after going to meeting with her. She just tells you that things are incorrect but doesnt explain how to fix your mistakes.

Comment:

Hardest I've ever worked for a B ( goodbye 4.0GPA :( ). Dr Awang rules, but don't expect any sympathy when grading time comes around. If you stay a week ahead of deadlines and devote three or four hours a week to getting your papers in order, a B shouldn't be too hard- but if you're expecting an A.... forget about it!

Dr. Awang is one of the best professors I have ever had. This class is not easy by any means. The course load is heavy, Dr. Awang will assist you through out the entire course. You know exactly what is due and what is expected for each of the assignment. She's real with you, she tells you what to work on and what your good at.

At first, I didn't want to take this class. I heard rumors of the difficulty and large course load. After taking the course with Dr. Awang, I better understand the rumors. It was a difficult course to take, but Dr. Awang did many things to help her students do well. Love the extra credits! Very helpful!

I like the schedule of when assignments were due. It gave plenty of notice and time to do it. I really liked that the research paper (field report) was due with several weeks left in the class and she graded them right away before the final week. So, we know our standing in the course going into the finals. Very friendly. Definitely recommended!

Dr. Awang is an excellent professor. The class was difficult and frustrating, but Dr. Awang made it bearable. I plan to go out of my way to take a class she teaches in the future. She had great office hours and answered questions and emails in a timely manner.

Dr. Awang really expressed a desire to go out of her way to help her students. She presented the course materials in a way that was easy to comprehend. Although the course is difficult, she made learning easier and fun. She is a wonderful professor!

Dr. Awang is a top-notch professor! She challenged you to bring your best because she's one of the best. She provided clear instructions on assignment and gave you plenty of time to complete them. You know your standing in the course way before the final exam - everything was graded including the field report! Very helpful and highly recommended!

Worst professor I've had at EKU. Opened class the first day with the whole "you will not get an A" speech, makes the class needlessly hard, IMO is unclear about assignment expectations, and I suspect she intentionally grades you down so you can't get an A, just because she prides herself on her course's difficulty.

Comment:

Overall she's one of the best at the College of Business. Tough but fair. She makes you put more into the semester long paper than the other professors in the end but ultimately it makes you better. The key to this class isn't you, its being in the right group for the presentation. Just be a good student and you should pull at least a B.

I like Dr. Awang but she is extremely difficult and strict about things that most people would deem insignificant. The class was writing intensive and thats an understatement.

This professor is willing to help you out, but if you're not a decent writer then good luck. She doesn't necessarily grade easy, but if you work hard enough you'll be fine. As long as you put in effort you should get a B in this class.

Comment:

Basically assigns an extra 20 page paper compared to the other prof for this course (other one combines short report & field report). Doesn't give many examples for the many papers you have to write (none for emailmemo reports or cover letter). Super nitpicky grader, and her quizzes are very difficult. One of the hardest courses I've ever taken.

You better believe it when people tell you this course will be one of your most time-consuming classes you will take. That said, Dr. Awang really is a great teacher to take for this course, and is more than willing to help you every step of the way! The key to doing well in this class is to visit her office often and let her evaluate your work.

Dr. Awang is probably the best professor I have had at EKU. Very demanding, very professional, very informational. Quizzes are tough, A lot of writing and projects, and a grammar exam that can affect your total grade in the class. If you are lazy or not willing to learn, take someone else. This class will get you ready for real world of business.

If you take the time to go to her office hours, she will walk you through the class and you will have no problems. She is very helpful, but there are assignments that are pretty tough and she's a strict grader. Again, she will help you. There's also a grammar test. Good luck!
