Comment:

by far one of the worst teachers ive had in terms of how he teaches. He's terrible at teaching and you basically have to self study if you want to pass this class. The textbooks for this class cost like 100 plus so good luck buying that. 4 exams and a final exam and homework online. Terrible teacher in my opinion.

Comment:

grade consists of 2 exams, a writing assignment, and homework. Homework was on webassign (worst assignment website ever, not his fault though) he's a nice guy, but sometimes gets confusing and hard to understand what he says. the class overall is tough, but not impossible to pass if you study.

I LOVE FRED, by far my favorite professor. He does have a slight accent, but he is very understandable. He makes jokes during his lectures which made class entertaining. there are 2 midterms that are 100 points each, weekly 10 pt quizzes, and a 200 pt final. The quizzes are group quizzes and he is very Clear as to what he wants for T/Q. lots of EC.

Comment:

Fred is a fun teacher. At first I was a bit worry because he has strong accent, but later you'll get us to it. Quizz every Friday and mostly yo can work in group (easy A tho). His jokes are dried. but you'll laugh. Test is a bit more difficult than hw and quizzes but still doable. I reccomend take this professor !!!!

He is very serious about not using a graphing calculator during instruction. He failed one student on the spot for having one on her desk, during lecture. Heavy accent. Other than that he is an amzing teacher

Fred is awesome! By far the best calc 2 professor at cal state Fullerton. He is very clear about what to expect on the exams, other professors don't tell you anything about the exams. The quizzes are group quizzes and the exams aren't that difficult. Just study what he taught in class and you will easily pass. He also gives extra credit. Take him.

I really don't see why everyone is so upset. Sure the material was very difficult to learn but if you really worked hard and paid attention, you could do well. He really tries to be on the side of the student by dropping low exam grades and giving group quizes. If you just show him that you care, you can pass this class no problem.

Didn't really enjoy his class and I actually enjoy math. Was not clear on exams. Said attendance wasn't required but would be mad if you didn't show up. When it came to exams you had to do the problem exactly how he taught it, no other way

This class was the worst. He expects you to understand new concepts right away and gets mad when you don't. His exams were nothing like the homework and quizzes. I would never recommend this professor to anyone. Save your time and grade and take someone else!!

This is perhaps the worst math professor I have ever met on campus. Unclear way of explaining difficult material, he gives online hw so that he doesn't have to grade, but don't be fooled questions on the exam are NOTHING like hw questions. Study hard questions from textbook topass. Office hours are NOT helpful, he just repeats the same thingagain

Get's mad at attendance sheet even if it is not required. Study the chapters consistently or you will perform poorly on the exams. Would not recommend, only take him if he is your last resort. Nice person outside of class, but a very mediocre teacher.

For my semester, he did not require attendance, but he gets really angry and goes on a rant if people don't show up. He isn't very clear in his teaching; sometimes he gets so worried about being behind that he skips problems and sections. Honestly, just find a different professor.

As nice as a person Fred is, be wary of taking this class because the material is extremely hard to understand without a lot of practice. Do the homework and show up to class a 100% of the time. On top of that study A LOT. When it comes to your grade Fred gives extra credit out to aid a tiny bit but its not even close to saving a tanking grade.

Comment:

Fred's a really nice and sweet man but he does lose his marbles sometimes when we don't get something in class. Generous extra credit, tries to give us partial but his final is literally demonic. I got like a 50200 and kept my B because i had like an 87%. His accent isn't super bad. Take him if you're decent with math! He's not bad.

Fred does care about his students and is pretty nice about partial credit, but don't expect that to save you. Exams tend to be 7 questions and theres usually one problem worth 20 percent of your test grade. Hes somewhat picky about solving problems his way too, so pay close attention. His accent makes lectures a little hard to understand too.

Before taking this class, I used to enjoy doing Calculus. After taking his class, I never want to do math ever again. His lectures are really confusing, he talks really slow and his way of explaining things are really vague. What bothered me is that he says " Is this okayclear people?", "Yes or No?", " Look at here people" TOO MUCH. DO NOT TAKE.

Fred is by far my favorite math teacher i've taken. If a student doesnt understand his lecture he'll make sure he or she does! He has a great sense of humor. He give you a lot of extra credit but you have to attend class! He has an accent but it doesnt matter since he slows down and explains things very clearly. Do not play with your cellphones :P
