Business class but grading on your grammar instead or performance. Answer the question correctly by using textbook quotes, but got 80% grade reduction due to one word grammar error. If you are so interested in teaching grammar, to teaching english. DO NOT TAKE CLASS WITH HIM!

Class isnt too difficult, I took hybrid and you can barely understand his lectures. He goes on tangents that dont apply to the lesson. A lot of the info is learned on your own, however all the test are online and he provides a study guide to help. Not a hard class to pass but hes hard to understand, hes a bit older.

I don't recommend this professor to anyone. If you sit 10 ft away from him, you might not be able to hear him. I wrote a 7 sentence response to one of the questions and was given a 4/5 because I didn't capitalize the word "Asian." I'm pretty sure he's not even reading my response and that he's only looking for spelling mistakes.

The professor is a bitter old man that should retire. If you are not strong in the writing category do not take this class. He will give you a 0 for an assignment if your grammar is slightly off. I don't even think he reads what I actually wrote. All he cares about is what you do wrong. In class lectures a boring as hell, I did a lot of drawings.

I would not recommend this teacher to anyone. I understand rereading your work and making sure nothing is misspelled, but trust me when I say he will pick your work apart until he finds something wrong. And when he does, he will take off several (10 points) off one letter being off. Do not take him, it seems to be impossible to get a perfect score.

This is about 5 typos, TYPOS, I received 0.1 out of 5. Take any other professor especially if English is a second language. Whittinghill wrote: You had 5 errors at one point per error equals 5 points. 5 from 5 0 If I gave you a zero it would mean that you did not submit work for the assignment. Therefore, you received the grade that you earned.

Advice? DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I am almost done with my degree & needed a pre-req, I have done more work in this level 1000 course than my 4000 course. Book is a must because all your work comes out of it and it's not cheap. I am not finished with his class yet but I will be lucky to get a B! Make sure you spell and grammar check everything!

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS is AWFUL! I took this class online, assignments are not hard but the way he grades is totally insane. Homework is heavy. Not counting exams and learning logs, you will have around eight discussions per week. Each one with two or three questions to answer with a minimum of words . He is very rude! take my advise......

I ended the semester with a 99 in his class. There is quite a bit of work, but he does not grade ridiculously. In fact he is quite generous with grading and gives extra credit for above and beyond responses. The tests are not hard and they match the review he gives perfectly. I took the 8 week marketing class with him ( fine but lots of work).

I have an A in this course and I was still irritated with how the professor graded. I misspelled one word in a huge project (the only noted mistake) and he took off almost 15% for one letter being off. The course wasn't really difficult. Just realize the good grade comes with getting passive aggressive group e-mails and unnecessarily tough grading.

a lot of homework, tough grader, if you misspell or make a grammar mistake he will let you know in CAPITAL letters, horrible communication, and he doesn't repond emails unless he wants to. First and last time taking a class with him.

Can't really say much about this guy excect he's pretty rude in emails and in responses for discussion questions belittling people. I get he thinks he's a respected professor at a community college but if he stopped being rude for one second he might a worth calling a teachers assistant.

Tends to give arbitrary grades on DQ's, especially if he prefers you as a student. He would give me extra credit on assignments because he liked me, but then I called him out on a transphobic comment he made during a lecture. He then gave me lower grades for the same amount of work. Also, invest in the textbook; he doesn't teach during lectures.

A tough grader on DQs. Gave me good/decent grades all term & then the last DQ stated that I did not use references & gave me a horrible grade. When I had not used a reference for any DQ's prior. Takes off for grammar in the DQ's. His tests are hard, the book can say word-for-word what a correct answer is and if you try to dispute its still wrong

Mr. Whittinghill's class was very hard. When he lectures he can go off topic and make a lot of jokes that aren't funny at all. At least, he will help you if you ask questions, and he is also nice.
