Horrible teacher, he would just stop talking and stare off through the window. He wouldn't answer your questions but try to make you answer them, we asked for a reason. Wish I NEVER took him. #MathWithOngwela

If you have the option not to take this professor. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He grades tests miserably, never answers questions, and is very stubborn and stuck in his ways. He will talk politic in class and life lessons. In fact the last should be called Life Lessons With Ongwela and a little math 141. 90% of my class is failing. #mathwithongwela

I used to be great at math, but he moves too quickly though material and grades are based strictly on tests which hurt me a lot. He's difficult to understand and often goes off on long tangents. Get out while you can! and if you tend to forget, write it down!!!

I would strooooooooooongly suggest you NOT take this professor if you have the SLIGHTEST problem with Math. He is NOT helpful and tends to answer questions with more questions. Sometimes, you cannot even understand the man. He talks softly and with a strong african accent. BEWARE.

In high school i was amazing at Math and never got below an A. In his class i got a D-, and now i have to retake that class because the way he grades tests. He means well but there is no way you can know as much information as he expects you too. I would suggest if you have him you drop it as soon as possible.

He is terrible. He makes the class way harder than it should be because it is just algebra, but his exams are ridiculous! Math 141 with any other professor is a breeze, but I don't think there is anybody that has anything above a B with him. Don't take. If you tend to forget, write it down.

Overall he's not bad. It's not an easy class but he is helpful if you ask for it. As long as you go to class every day, take notes, and do the homework; you're good but he moves pretty fast so if you miss a class you might miss a whole topic. His accent can be rough to understand at first but you get used to it.

Gets a bad rep. His homework isn't mandatory but he gets most of his test questions from the homework. If you do the homework you will do well on his tests. His lectures are boring an he tends to get off subject while giving advice on life. Also takes awhile to give tests back. May or may not give unannounced quizzes. All and all not too bad.

He's not as bad as people say. The homework is not manditory, so people don't do it. That is why they don't do well in his class. The tests can be difficult but he takes all his questions from the homework or examples he uses in class, so if you do the homework like he says it's not that hard of a class.
