Carls and Lindley are the same person. Carls just has an essay in final exam and Lindley gets off track during lectures. Carls might be a little harder. really funny, exams are pretty easy, you only need a book to search terms so you can rlly just borrow a book. really funny/caring/nice. easy class. just study the terms on the paper her gives you.

I took Chem 151 with Dr. Carlson, and it was the hardest class I've ever taken. Be prepared to spend hours studying for it, as there is tons of material and he has quizzes weekly that can make or break your grade. Carlson is good and knows what he's talking about, but the lectures are dry. He is willing to help you until you get it though.

He gives great lectures that are well organized and clear. He's not too helpful with student questions, sometimes seeming impatient. Otherwise, solid professor.

I was spending AT LEAST 20 hours a week on this class alone. Having a hard time?Expect him to embarrass you and belittle you. I worked very hard in this class and failed. My lab class was under a different teacher and I passed. Carlson will not give you credit for any work if you do it the way another teacher teaches you. It's his way or no way.

Very knowledgeable in the subject, very difficult class, he is not the most respectful guy, had this same material in highschool and 4.0 it and now I'm almost failing. Very fast paste, I would recommend someone else

Carlson is a great professor. He's clearly very knowledgeable about the subject matter, as he has been teaching for many years. He offers tons of help and resources to students, as the class can be quite difficult for many. Attendance helps as well as keeping on top of the homework. This class requires work, but all in all, great professor.

Very great teacher overall, has unlimited knowledge of subject. In general, the class is extremely difficult but teacher is probably the best chemistry instructor you can take if you're actually looking to learn something. Expect to study at least 15 hours a week for his weekly quizzes and exams! Fast paced class, but office hours help out a ton.

This class in general is very difficult. Carlson was very helpful and just wants his students to do well. He has terrible handwriting so you have to listen to him talk if you want the correct notes. He writes the department final and Exams. If you do not study and take the time to learn the material I promise you will not do well.

Carlson is a good guy. Very old fashioned and his lack of basic technology cognizance will drive you mad. He's pretty arrogant and it's been a long time since he didn't understand something in his subject. That being said, he is helpful and also writes the department exams, so he gives you all the important info you need to succeed.

Difficult class but it is not because of the teacher. Carlson is very good at what he does and is very easy to understand. the only way to do good is practice and study and he is very helpful when it comes to that.

Carlson is a great professor if you are able to listen and take notes. He writes everything on the board with terrible handwriting so dont rely on visuals. He hints at whats most important and is always willing to help. Took his morning class and he was always in there an hour before class answering questions. Gives great real life examples .

He goes very fast and doesn't always do the best at explaining. I got a 4.0 in high school on the same material but I am close to failing this class. Also his grading is extremely tough which is why I am doing so bad . I recommend not getting him.

Has been teaching for forever, expects students to know a lot. fast paced class. VERY STRICT masteringchemistry due dates. NO POWERPOINT NOTES. Only practice tests available for EXAMS 1 and 2. The hardest class ive taken yet. Attended SI sessions and met with private tutor once a week. Rigorous course. AT LEAST 50 min lecture after EACH EXAM

Carlson is a great teacher. If you pay attention you'll really understand the concepts. He's very fair, works in a lot of extra credit, and only tests on the things that truly need testing. If you lose points you deserve it, but if you listen to him you'll not miss very many points. I highly recommend him to anyone. Great teacher!

I had Carlson as my Chemistry Lab instructor, but I felt like I learned more in my lab with him that in my lecture with another instructor. He explained everything well and made sure that his students understood the material. Chemistry can be tough but Carlson actually wants his students to succeed.

I thought professor Carlson was wonderful. I also had him for chem lab. He's knowledgeable about his subject and very approachable if help is needed. The class isn't easy, and study is required for a good grade. Extra credit is available though. Lab was easy. He's more laid-back and much more easy-going. If you have to take chem, take it with him.

This guy is very hard! Avoid him unless you realy want to work you butt off! He frequently refers to "when I was at perdu working on my masters" and expects you to work just as hard even though its a communit college. Also he gives no partial creidt he claims "shes either pregnat or shes not" and there for there is no partial.
