He is a very boring during lecture. He is sort of fast paced. His midterms were very reasonable, all free response. His final was completely different from the midterms. It was multiple choice and free response. Overall, its a pretty good class.

Comment:
It is difficult to have a conversation with him, as it is very one-sided. Whenever I attempted to make any inputs he just continued to talk over me. Most of my success came from reading in the book. Midterms were easy if you prepare, but the final was much harder. Also, Beware because he grades on a bell curve.

Comment:
Compared to the other math20c professors, Tesler is the best at explaining the concepts. Yes he covers slightly more material, but he gives tons of examples. Lots of hw but you get repeat attempts. Both midterms were very easy if you tried on the hw and the final was pretty fair too (though comparatively harder than the midterms due to graphing).

He gives a lot of example problems in his lecture and if you can understand those examples well you should be fine with your homework. His exams based a lot on the homework. Understand the HW problems and do some practice exam problems, it would be an easy A for this class.

He is a great teacher! He explains everything really well and the workload is manageable. The midterms were easy and based on homework, but the final was a lot harder.

Not that great of a lecturer as he talks so fast and goes over more content that other math 20c professors. He gives hard exams that are very conceptual and test difficult topics.

His lectures are very clear, and he has podcasts after the class. Homework is easy, and if you do the homework seriously, the exams will be easy to you. I like him!

His lecture is clear, and not fast. You need to have the ability to imagine 3D graphs. I almost missed the Final exam... He sends email to remind me to take the final.

His lecture is pretty fast-paced. But he posts both the video and slides on podcast, and watching the podcast is really helpful because you can stop whenever you want. You don't even need to go to the lecture with the podcast, which is good for all lazy students like me lol.

Tesler is an okay professor, usually goes a little too fast at time due to time constraints. He focuses heavily and graphs/visuals.

Mr. Tesler is a solid teacher and is super smart. Sometimes is is a little too smart and talks at incredible speeds which can make the lectures a little difficult to follow along. Tesler is love, Tesler is life. 10/10 would take again.

An excellent professor. I recommend all students take his class. He illustrated the materials that ought to be covered by graphs clearly and conceivably. As for exams, I think as long as you finish doing every single practice problem on the book, it should not be a problem at all. Recommended.

The homework is the most dreadful thing on the planet. Tesler is intelligent but unfortunately lacking in the social department. Will not teach you what you need to know for the homework or tests. REALLY big on graphing, which is the most difficult thing to grasp in multivariable. Personally, I would avoid him at all costs.

He is very rude to students who ask for help! I walked into office hours to find him practically yelling at a student because he did not understand a problem. Aside from that, his final is incredibly hard and will lower your grade dramatically! Would not recommend

VERY RUDE! Professor is not helpful or kind. His tests are hard. he likes a lot of visual math!! the midterms were okay, but the final was really hard! we literally had to imagine 4D and 3D graphs without computer!! the final lowered my grade. I honestly found this class to be hard compared to Math 20A and 20B only because of the professor.
