4 tests. 1500 points each. Lots of assignments to get you ready for the test which can also boost your grade up. Minitab can be hard to get used to at first but comes naturally after that. If you don't know how to read the 'numbers/conclusions' then you wont do well. She replaced our lowest test grade with what we got on the last test.

Professor Stranahan was wonderful! DO NOT BOTHER BUYING THE BOOK. I wasted money by purchasing the book that I literally never touched. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you need to know is in the video lectures. Take the time to watch the lectures, only about an hour each week and do the HW and quiz right after.

Took the course online and thought it was easy. Her lecture videos are easy to follow, don't even need the textbook, just MiniTab. We had to use Examity Proctoring for tests but she lets you have 3 pages of cheat sheets. Also keeps the HW and quiz assignments for each module open to complete up until each test.

Easy class if you watch the lectures. Mine was a hybrid class. I went both in class and watched the lecture online before class. Didn't even take my book out of the Fedex box. Nice to talk to. The whole class is Minitab (similar to Excel). If you know how to put in the data and press the right buttons it should be an easy A.

Her lectures and quizzes were pretty easy if you study. She posts online lectures which help a lot. The downfall is that her tests are ridiculously difficult. The last two exams we were allowed to bring a cheat sheet and most of the class still did not pass. She gave extra credit for showing up to class. Her extra credit did allow me to secure a B.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Did well on the first two tests and thought I had an 89 in the class. 2 weeks after midterms she emailed saying I had a 65. Basically thought I was doing well then learned my grade was 20 points off than what was on canvas. Ended up dropping the class so it didn't affect my gpa. Does not teach much, class canceled a lot.

Professor Stranahan is great, she does make a lot of small mistakes on quizzes and exams but if you email her about it you may even get extra credit. Econ Stat is a hard topic in general but she makes it clearer with her lecture videos. You just have to dedicate time to listen and understand. I recommend watching lectures twice for harder topics.

Horrible teacher and even worse experience in her class. Her video lectures are not that helpful and she tends to whisper through many important points in the video, like are you serious?? Hopefully will never have to deal with her again. One of the worst professors at UNF by far. Only good thing is that homework is not graded.

UNF needs to step it up. What a joke. Disorganized, does not teach, misses answers and comes back to correct them after quizzes and tests. Take Beal, unless you don't hv an option. But be prepared to feel lost with this one. Video lectures that you can't even hear bc she whispers on video lectures.

Online class, Easy A or B. She gives you plenty of time to do this assignments. 2 papers that are only 3 paragraphs. Provides a lot of good resources to help you get good grades on your quizzes and exams, everything is due on Sunday. Responds fast to emails. I would take her again and I am not good at economics.

She's not that bad. She's a little unorganized. Lectures are really long and she only goes over her powerpoints. Never touches the book. Get the study guide workbook though. It's really helpful.

Stranahan is the perfect professor for a study abroad trip. She orchestrated everything and everyone had an absolute blast. We also learned a ton of interesting material. She is really fun you will not regret taking a trip with her. Do it!

Such an awesome professor. This class really wasn't that tough if you go to class. You can skip a few days here and there if you can understand the powerpoints on your own. Do the homework she gives every class and you will understand concepts much more easily. She'll make sure you understand each topic as long as you ask.

She definitely knows the material. Very challenging course though. Chapter quizzes online, can work in groups. Only a few tests, they are hard and get harder progressively. You need to understand previous material to be able to understand what is being taught. Attend class and receive the clicker points, they add up and will help your grade.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER... Unless you are naturally good at Economics then take any class you want, but if you think you're going to need help DONT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR. I went to every class and I'm still not doing well. I went to her office hours for help and she didn't help me at all. I even emailed her and just got blunt answers.

Unfortunately I ended up withdrawing from this class. I just wasn't doing as well as I had hoped and I definitely did not want to fail and it affect my GPA so I just felt it was best. She actually even recommends withdrawingdropping the course if she sees you are not at a certain grade percentage. I kind of get the feeling she expects you to just be able to "get the material" that is taught in this course. She is very fast in her teaching. She did explain on the first day of class that it will not be easy, (which you don't expect it to be anyway) but hearing that did sort of make me nervous. I do have to take this course again because it is required for my degree, but I do feel there are more fish in the sea when it comes to choosing professors in this course, and I am going to take a different professor.

She's not very clear about assignments. Her lectures are alright but she moves very fast. All her quizzes are online and do not follow the powerpoint very much. I bought the book and have not opened it at all. If you aren't strong in economics don't take her.

I have had Prof. Stranahan for several classes. She is very straight forward with the class material. This was a dry course subject but gives plenty of practice material to do well on the test. You have to attend class to turn in the homework. If you keep up with class and homework you will do well in the course.

Professor Stranahan is not very encouraging at all! Our first day of class she said "this is a very hard class & most of you won't as keep it!" Where's the encouragement? Not to mention she wants you to get all kinds of things for her class besides the book. A magazine subscription, a clicker thing, & book! If you can, take someone else!
