This is by far the worst professor in the entire history of Spanish speaking professors. She is un-helpful,un-clear and extremely odious. She does not like her students at all and had no business in a teaching compacity. I am so glad she is gone , as a matter of fact I think we should all celebrate her leaving, good riddence.

i think she has good intentions as a teacher but shes really just not very good at explaining things. shes very moody, doesnt understand sarcasm and is very easily offended (she called a girl down for saying "crap" in class) you'd be better off with another professor...

only gives 3 tests, and they're very detailed and hard, she left for a whole month, the material in the class is just hard, period, does not take responsibility to her students and tells us to go to dr. riddel with everything, also doesn't understand most sarcasm

she is one of the 2 worst teachers i've had at marshall. you will learn nothing from her, she is confusing and very mean. we had a sub for awhile & thats the only spanish i learned. she is very annoying & says "yes?" after everything she says. i would rather dig my eyes out than sit in her class

This teacher should not teach at any school. She hates everybody and gets mad when you ask for help from her or other students. She is by far the worst teacher i have ever had in my 4 years at marshall. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!

Does her best to be sure everyone is included and understands. The assignments and tests are easy as long as you have a reasonable Spanish background or a good work ethic. The only way to fail her class is to be extremely lazy, she even tolerates belligerence.

Well, she tries to be thorough in her teaching of course even though the material is difficult to grasp. But, she tends to drift off from the course content and does not follow the outlined syllabus. Beware if you worry about your G.P.A. when taking this course.

If you don't like emailing homework...don't take her. If you hate people repeating words like "yes"...don't take her. Her tests are confusing. Even when the whole class marks one answer, she claims its another. She's not THAT hard but she will confuse you.

She is the worst professor i've had in my entire college career. she gets defensive when you ask questions or smile in her class. she puts things on quizzes that are'nt in the book. if i had the choice of taking her class again or pulling out my own toenails, i would choose the latter.

I think Professor Herbst was a very good teacher. Maybe I say this because I am a Spanish Educaton major, but I thought her assignments were challenging and I enjoyed her class.
