During the semester I had a hardship and was unable to come to class and Jaime worked with me to make sure I stayed on track and met with me outside of class in the studio to help with our projects. Other professors would have made me drop but not him. He takes a sincere interest in his students; highly recommended!

Jaime was great! His interest in students and student progression is what makes him one of the best teachers I've had at NEIU. Very humble about his accomplishments and he knows his stuff. I highly recommend his courses.

No textbooks needed for this class. Didn't really learn anything new but it was a fun class to take. Even though he is easy going please attend. It'll help your grade. He's very available when students need help. Use sketchbooks consistently as he will be checking them and last minute sketching can be a pain. Enjoyed the class/teacher.

i loved him. unfortunately i took his class at 8 in the morning so it wasnt as great as it should have been. But he shows interest in his students and he is very fair. he missed 4 classes so he subtracted those 4 from our total absences. hes great, ill definitely take another class with him. or at least try

I loved this class. I did not have any drawing experience and because of Jaime's help I was able to draw things I never thought I could have. The classroom environment was very laid back and I never felt any stress with this course. Take this teacher, he is great!!!

Jamie is a great teacher. If you need to take an art class, and are fearful because you can't draw - take this class! Jaime doesn't expect you to be a great artist. What he does expect is effort. He celebrates individualism and will listen to what you have to say. I really enjoyed this class.

Great Class!! It was a 2 and half hour class in the evening but he would order food and we would just hang out draw and listen to music; huge hip hop head. He's very eccentric but then again he is an artist. Check out his work by googling him.

I previously hated drawing but this class shows me I have some talent. Jaime is very understanding and laid back. The class was 2 1/2 hours and it was comfortable and fun. He does expect a lot from your drawing toward the end but if he sees you tried, you've won him over. Would recommend, I got B.
