Ms. Coplin is simply not a good teacher. I really like Anthropology and archaeology but this teacher almost shredded my dreams to nothing. She is very unclear in her teachings and bases your entire grade in the class on a project and the final exam. She is just plain horrible. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

Professor Coplin may seem hard at first, but she is an extremely good teacher, I recommend taking her if you are interested in the subject. I didnt do anything all semester then worked my butt of the night before and managed to pull an A.

An extremely intelligent and interesting professor. She really knows her stuff, and tries to get her students engaged in the material. She is very helpful in and out of the class room. I truly recommend her to anyone.

This class has way to much work for an elective class. She expects too much from students who don't know as much as her about archaeology. She's nice but takes her work way to seriously because she is a grad. student..DO NOT take this class if you are not majoring in anth/arch or absolutely need it

AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! in 3 years at Hofstra i have never had such a terrible professor. she is unhelpful, obnoxious and mean. she feels that giving a review or answering questions is too helpful and therefore will not do it. I strongly suggest taking another course, or at least another teacher.

Prof. Copln is the best professor i ever had. She loves the subject material so much that she makes you love it. Her lectures are great, she engages the class and wants you to learn.Speak up in her class and answer her questions because she wants you to share your opinions with her.Even if your not interested in archeology, take this class

Random, arbitrary, anything along those lines. One minute freaking out on you for nothing, the next minute being really understanding about some major problem. Made us buy a 70 dollar cd and tyrannized us about using it, then turned out it didn't work right anyway. WAYYYY too much work for a core class though, she's kinda psycho.
